FAQ
What is the adoption process for animals at your shelter?
At Arc Animal Rescue Centre, we have a thorough adoption process to ensure that our animals are placed in safe and loving homes. This process includes filling out an application, meeting with an adoption counselor, and a home visit to ensure that the home is a suitable environment for the animal. We also require an adoption fee and a signed adoption contract. Are there any adoption fees, and if so, what do they include?
Yes, we do have adoption fees which help us cover the cost of caring for our animals. The fees vary depending on the animal, but they typically include vaccinations, spaying or neutering, and a microchip. These fees also help us continue to provide care for the animals in our shelter. How do you ensure the health and well-being of animals in your care?
We have a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who provide daily care for our animals. This includes feeding, exercise, and medical care as needed. We also have a veterinarian who visits regularly to ensure that all of our animals are healthy and receive any necessary treatment.Do you provide any training or support for new pet owners?
Yes, we offer support and resources to new pet owners to help them provide the best care for their new pet. This includes information on basic care, behavior, and training. We also offer training classes for dogs and their owners. How can I support your shelter through donations or volunteering?
We greatly appreciate any support from our community. You can make a donation on our website or by mail. We also have volunteer opportunities available, including animal care, fundraising, and event planning. You can find more information on our website or by contacting us directly.Reviews

Applied for a dog with the centre. Much to my surprise I was invited for a meet with a lovely young dog. We went to the enclosed play area and everything was fine. On return to the office I met with a manager and I just knew there was no way i was getting this dog. The manager did not make me feel welcome. I however tried to keep my hopes up and waited 4 days before I emailed again and asked for an update. Only to be told I was not rural enough (i live in a small village). I really don't understand why I would be invited to meet the dog when they had no intention of giving me a chance. They possibly need to vet people a bit more before getting them to drive 45 mins to meet a dog. Overall a disappointing experience. I have since gone to a larger adaption facility.i am now fostering a springer spaniel with the option to adopt. *I understand you want what's best for the animals, I fully agree. Just do the leg work and check before you bring in people to meet the dog.
