This site is lovely, the hosts are so accomodating , make you feel so very welcome and happy to provide lots of local knowledge and are friendly. The site is very well kept and all trimmed and grass too. The toilet empty point is very clean and likewise for the bin area. The site is so close to Tesco in walking distance and also the wonderful cathedral city of Chichester. Lots of local facilities and good bus service. Highly recommend.

Very pleased to have found this lovely little site and will definitely visit again. Exactly as described and easy to locate. For those needing public transport there are bus stops just outside the entrance, which connect to Fishbourne train station if required. A Tesco Extra is within easy reach for supplies. Rob and his family made us welcome for the two nights we stayed. Thank you! Dog-friendliness: The owners have two dogs, and the camping field is fully fenced.

We visited in June 2022. The site has some good points and some not so good. The good points are that the site is close to Chichester and the main road along the south coast. The owner is very friendly and helpful, as are his family. Now the not-so-good: The site is small by the usual standard of CL/CS that we have visited over the years. I don't like the big club sites because of being so close to your neighbours and of course, the litany of rules eg, parking to the peg. I'm afraid that Applegarth felt very similar: Having to pitch where we were told and being too close to the neighbours. Things could perhaps be improved if there was more than one electricity point that everyone must cluster around. I wasn't comfortable emptying the toilet cassette so close to the owner's front door whilst at the same time being barked at by his dogs. The dogs are often in the site and I was particularly annoyed when one of them left a pile of his waste behind our caravan. So, this site is in a good location and the owner is friendly and helpful. The downsides outweigh that for me though so next time we go to that area, we will find somewhere else.

(Translated by Google) No toilet, no shower, no washing facilities, just a free-standing water tap, lawn and electricity that I didn't need. For 15 pounds. One star for the friendly operator. (Original) Keine Toilette, keine Dusche, keine Waschgelegenheit, nur ein frei stehender Wasserhahn, Wiese und Strom den ich nicht benötigte. Dafür 15 Pfund. Ein Stern für den freundlichen Betreiber.
