Went to this Apple Store for the first time for my Apple Watch battery repair. I had the 5:15 pm appointment and was crowded. Had to wait for about 20 minutes for one of the Genius Bar person to attend to me. The experience was good as he listened to me patiently, understood my problems with the device, ran the diagnostic test and handed in my device for repair. I guess battery repairs take time but good thing is I don’t have to come back to store to collect instead it will be delivered to my home which is really convenient. The store experience is ok just be prepared to wait if its crowded.

Tried to buy a replacement charging case for my AirPod pro’s. Could not find the original electronic receipt, and obvs didn’t have the original box (does anyone). Told there was no way they could sell me one. Questioned that as an organisation they should have some way other than those two processes to find my details and purchases haven purchase a number of items from them in the past. To which they told me that they could by Bluetooth. Finally after being passed from one robot assistance to another robot assistant as apparently they all have work roles and positions and can’t do one thing without the other robots doing their bit. You can see where I’m going with this. Then get told that they can sell me a replacement case only for them to try to get me to purchase it at a higher price than what it was advertised on the website. Again questioned why this was the case only to be told well it’s just the way it is in the system. Again pushed back on paying any unnecessary costs if not required, to then a further 15 mins (no a total of 45 mins has passed for what I thought would be a simple transaction) is finally completed. At which point I ask why this had taken so much time and effort. To be told that it’s the process at Apple due to peoples workstations. Out I simple I said the process is broken or clearly not fit for purpose given this had been such a horrendous experience for a supposed replacement. Apple do better. Your products are overpriced for the market now, you have good staff but the process is broken for sales, customer service and general store interaction! It’s clear that money has taken over customer satisfaction and care!
