Absolutely atrocious! I should say that this was my experience as a prospective employee. The standard of care in the homes and provided by the Apex Care agency staff is probably average, if the training is anything to go by. If, however, you are considering working for them, my experience was terrible. I paid for the CRB/DBS and related checks, £40, and contrary to the assurances I was given, that there was lots of work, etc, they just left me hanging for several months. I suspect most agencies exaggerate the amount of work they really have available, but Apex was pretty bleedin awful ;-) (imho)
