This is not the place I would put anybody I love in. The staff are not the best I done a few shifts here and could not manage anymore i got bullied out of the company. The people are horrible to work with, they don't spend time with residents I got moaned at for talking to residents because they were upset. They put on a front with people. They are not who they say they are please do not put loved ones in this home there is too many residents that are suffering that don't have people to talk too and this really isn't the place to help them.

My husband has not long come back from a weekend's respite. It's a difficult time at the moment when you can't visit or travel there with your loved one, so you very much entrust them to other people to look after. He has dementia so it's hard to get any straight answers out of him but he has come home very cheerful & looks like he's been well looked after. The few people I spoke to on the phone whilst arranging this have all be very friendly & helpful. I hope he made a good impression too & that you'd be happy to have him back in the future.

Can't believe recent reviews on here..obviously must have had a miraculous transformation or staff are just hanging on to their jobs..i stand by my what i have already said..records speak for themselves ..people are not admitted to hospital with severe dehydration & infection on the brink of death when getting adequate care..i also found the Manager Helen seemed very nice initially but on returning to Anville Court to collect my husband's belongings after i refused to allow him to be returned there after hospital..she barely spoke & couldnt even enquire about his welfare..very "caring". My husband is now in a lovely Home where is well cared for and is happy..the difference is amazing and i now have the peace of mind i didn't have whilst he was in Anville Court.

Some of these reviews are really annoying to read you may call me biased because I am a carer here but Helens door is always open to all staff residents and their families we as carers are not rude we are doing our best for our residents who may I add are not unhappy our activity co ordinator has a brilliant relationship with our residents and they all respond and enjoy what he does with them they are happy they sing they laugh and they interact ...these resident's are not just residents they are like our family so when these negative reviews go up it upsets me as a carer .....I personally would NOT want to work anywhere else our manager is approachable at ALL times if when and where she needs to be we are all in anville for one reason only and that is to give our residents the care and love that they truly deserve

Recently heard of the negative comments here at Anville Court and had to reply to them. I work there and I dont agree. You may find my comments bias but I wouldn't work for the home if it was as bad people make out. No home is 100 % perfect but our mission with the help of such a great manager/staff and the company we work for we will become an outstanding home if not already.

I worked along side this care home for 5 years and it's nothing to what people are portraying. I get all care homes are under alot of stress due to sickness levels, management ect but without a doubt I would put my family member in this home. all the team come together to do the best to their ability to provide the best care for the residents. I've only ever met Helen once and I think she is a fabulous manager. shes really bought this home up to scratch and I'm always around to help out when I can visiting. it's been a big part of my life this home has and it was one of the best experiences I had. and I'm not just sayin this as I worked there! I had the support I needed and everything. the residents have the best care provided for them and every time I've visited they have always seemed happy, clean, drinks provided and always had a good thing to say about the home and team!

Dreadful place my husband was only there for less than 3 weeks..in that time i found him in bed at 12.30 am with curtains closed & in lamplight with the bedroom door closed bearing in mind he has Alzheimers! i had a friend with me who was able to bear witness..we were both very upset..another occasion he was left sitting with his trousers round his thighs & unshaven..he was left unable to reach a drink & he lost weight..eventually he was taken to hospital (within 3 weeks) & admitted with severe dehydration..a blocked catheter & sepsis..i dont know how he survived..when i went to clear his room (no way he was going back on discharge from hospital) with a friend Manager Helen was hostile & could barely look at me..my husband is now in a different Nursing Home & the difference in less than a week is unbelievable with good care..he is so much happier ..do not put your loved one in here the Manager will tell you what you want to hear..the truth is another matter..be warned
