I approached the company for a family matter and dealt with different solicitors in three years of my relationship. During the process, I could not feel that I have been respected as a professional client and the personal treatment was filled with arrogance and lack of empathy. My impression during the time was that, the goal for the company was only getting more income rather than solving my problem. Although the firm is very expensive and even you are billed for a couple of minutes email reading, the quality was average, moreover, lack of sympathy and being overly money centred and arrogant made me really unhappy and after three years, I had to terminate my cooperation with the firm as a client and move the final part of my work to a different company.

Terrible is the word. Firstly, I called Anthony Gold regarding conveyancing and never got a call back. Called again the following week and was attended promptly by Andrew Weir. He was pleasant, went through my questions and was patient. A couple of days later, I tried to get in touch with Andrew and he was not reachable as myself and partner have questions to our property purchase and we are in the stage of putting an initial offer for a house we like. Wanted to appoint Anthony Gold for their service and was put through by their reception to another solicitor in the conveyance department for questions as Andrew was unavailable. The person who picked up, Peter, not only sounded like he was in rush to get rid of me, he spoke in such condescending manner I was totally disgusted. He even mentioned Andrew is my appointed solicitor and I should contact him instead. Dear Anthony Gold, Andrew is not my appointed solicitor. If he is not reachable and I wish to engage the services of the company, I should not be treated this way. All Andrew did was provided me with a quotation and answered my questions. My call was to ask a few more questions and move forward to appoint your solicitor. Your other employee Peter should really review his manner and choose his words carefully. You just lost a client and left a negative impression of this company. To think that Peter claimed he had 20 years of experience and yet insist that Andrew is my appointed solicitor reflects the inability of this company. If you cannot take on any more clients or give them the attention and be reachable, admit it and let clients know. Probably one of the worst client legal service I have experienced and a complete lack of client engagement skills.
