FAQ

What is your kaiseki menu and what dishes are included?

Our kaiseki menu features a traditional Japanese multi-course meal that includes seasonal ingredients and focuses on balance and harmony of flavors. The dishes included vary depending on the season and availability of ingredients, but typically include a soup, sashimi, grilled dish, simmered dish, and a rice dish, among others.

How often do you update your kaiseki menu and can you accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences?

We update our kaiseki menu regularly to reflect the seasonal ingredients available and to keep the menu fresh and exciting for our guests. We are also able to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences with advance notice. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or preferences when making your reservation.

Do you have a dress code or recommended attire for dining at your kaiseki restaurant?

We do not have a strict dress code, but we recommend smart casual attire for our guests. We want our guests to feel comfortable and relaxed while dining with us, but we also want to maintain a certain level of sophistication and elegance in our restaurant.

What is the average price range for a kaiseki meal at your restaurant?

Our kaiseki menu ranges in price depending on the season and availability of ingredients, but typically starts at around £60 per person. We also offer a la carte options for those who prefer not to have the full kaiseki experience.

Can you provide examples of the types of ingredients and cooking techniques used in your kaiseki cuisine?

Our kaiseki cuisine emphasizes the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients and traditional Japanese cooking techniques such as grilling, simmering, and steaming. Some of the ingredients we use include seafood, vegetables, tofu, mushrooms, and rice. We also incorporate traditional Japanese seasonings such as soy sauce, miso, and sake into our dishes to enhance the flavors.

Welcomed like we were VIP’s. Presented with a refreshing mock tail (on the house). The service was exceptional and the food was outstanding. Staff are so friendly, they make you feel relaxed and welcome. More surprises came after the meal when a dry-ice dessert was presented, again on the house. Overall, I would give it more than five stars if I could. Thoroughly recommend.
