If I could rate higher than 5 starts, I would. Due to personal reasons and vet bills, I had to suddenly re-home my kitten. Animal support angels was the first charity I reached out to, and I’m so glad that I did. I spoke with the owner Amanda directly and she took my cat in. What was a very difficult decision for me, Amanda’s warm, professional, understanding and non-judgmental personality and approach made me feel totally at ease. After meeting Amanda in person, speaking to her, and looking on the charity’s social media, I had full confidence my kitten was in the safest of hands, was going to be looked after, and eventually be given to a loving owner. The charity’s communication was prompt and smooth. I HIGHLY recommend this charity to both animals, as well as owners in need of help.

Last year in October, I was approached by Animal Support Angels 'volunteer' as I was looking online for the owners of a cat and six kittens. Animal Support Angels took them from my home with the promise of finding the owners of the cat and kittens. There were a number of issues: I placed an online AD to look for the owners, but Amanda and her colleague wanted me to take the AD down saying that I had disclosed too much information. They wanted me to describe a black and white cat as "black" because "the owners would know that their cat is black and white" (?!). The owners of the cat contacted me within 2 hours of ad placed online (the ad stayed online for a month, but apart from the owners of the cat, no one else contacted me), but neither I nor the owners could get a response from Amanda or her colleague. In the end, I drove to her address and had to confront her in her car to ask her to give back the kitties. Amanda told me that the owners of the cat are NEVER found, and asked me how did I manage to find the owners. She never told us where the six kittens where, but the cat was sent to a foster place in Welwyen Garden City. I drove the owner to the "foster place" and we found the cat locked up in a Van!!! Cold, dark and stripped off her collar and tags. I never heard anything of the kittens again. Amanda was very quick to answer calls and speak to me before taking the kitties away but afterwards she was always "too busy" to respond. The whole experience left such a bad impression on me that I am writing this review one year after the incident, especially as it is coming up to the time when this happened last year. She was really interested in the kittens because there was money to be made from rehoming them, whether the money was paid by customers or charities. When they took the kittens from me they told me they will be going to RSPCA, but I never found those kittens ever appear on RSPCA website. As far as I could tell it was just Amanda who 'owns' the charity, and I was unable to tell if she had any mandatory training to be running this service, her only qualification for this was her previous experience.

Amanda is simply fantastic. My mum passed leaving 3 cats and we simply could not get any of the larger charities to take them. Through her large network of contacts Amanda was able to find the cats homes within a few days and also obtain charity funding to get the cats treatment. Thank you so much for all your help.
