Walked their with my grandchildren, it is open to all for free, there is only the angel to visit, and if the day is nice there is usually an ice cream van. There is parking but unsure if there is a payment for it, it is accessible for a wheelchair to get up close, but be aware there are slopes on either side.

Worth a slight detour to stop and see the Angel of the North if you are traveling through Gateshead and have not seen it before.
