Had to send a colleague to the minor injuries department after a fall at work. The staff told him it would need stitches but they could not see him without an appointment. 111 kept him waiting in a queue for an hour before saying a consultant would call back sometime today. He is now on his way to Winchester to try and get some medical attention there. The UK system is a joke.

For a town with over 50k residents, it shocks me that we have an INADEQUATE minor injuries and no A&E. Inadequate doesn't even come close, it's not open Saturday or Sunday and they can only see you if you have an appointment? Andover has a huge population, comparative to Salisbury & Newbury. Take Test Valley as a whole and we have over 125k population. But we're expected to all descend onto Winchester after 6pm and at the weekends?! No wonder people call 999 instead, pushing ambulance wait times further and further into chaos. Now, I don't blame the staff at this location, but I do have issues with how this service is being run by the NHS! Andover needs a more adequate A&E.

Hospital was fine, very professional and caring staff. The car park however is awful. The only Pay machine at the front of the hospital was out of order and the only working machine was a hundred yards away, while it was fine for me, a lot of elderly people use the hospital and would have struggled. I met an elderly guy who had been fined the week before, ripping patients off, especially elderly ones is disgusting, this hospital needs to do something…

I was sent to minor injuries on 29th July by 111 ( who were very thorough and helpful). I answered all the questions by the friendly receptionist at the minor injury clinic and then a dragon nurse appeared. There were no patients waiting so not busy. I wonder why the nurse thought it ok to be so rude, dismissive, disrespectful. I was told to go to A&E in no uncertain terms. It’s not the first time I’ve experienced such unnecessary rudeness. Shame on you treating people so badly. Apart from going for bloods this hospital is very poor we find.

Efficient, staff kind, clean, easy to locate required department. Can not fault it. A true jewel in the NHS crown.

Why on earth would the minor injuries unit close at midday on a Sunday?… Absolutely ridiculous in this day and age. Had to take our daughter with a broken wrist all the way to Basingstoke…
