Don't go anywhere else for repairs or spares for your garden machinery. They are knowledgeable, friendly and super-efficient, and I really recommend that you use them to service your machinery regularly. It's worth it (although book in at sensible times, like Winter, to avoid the queues). Prices for spares will beat online prices, so look up what you need online and go to Andover Garden Machinery to check that the part is right, and get it from them. We've been using them for nearly 30 years.

7 weeks wait for Service No Communication Extortionate labour charges Poor customer service regarding warranty issues Purchased a 1636H Mountfield Ride on Mower in Aug 2020 (£2500). Came with a 2 year warranty. Used approx 30 times over period (Aug 20 - current day). The battery failed to hold charge from about the 6th month period and needed jump starting every week. Thought we’d raise the issue during our 1st service with Andover Garden Machinery in Feb 22. They agreed that the battery needed replacing and also a pulley and a bearing. Total Cost of the service bill is £ 390.49. Breakdown of costs as follows: Labour charge £252.00 Consumables abs Fuel £10.00 Spark plug £4.00 Oil £7.75 Air filter £21.54 Pulley £17.64 Bearing £13.36 Battery £60.00 Total: £386.29 Then a delivery charge for collection and delivery. Spoke to Andover Garden Machinery who asked Mountfield if they would replace the battery under warranty. Informed that it’s only covered for 1 year. Also pulley not covered as considered wear and tear. Appears the warranty is worthless especially given the cost of the mower. You’d think that given we waited 7 weeks for our mower to be serviced that the dealership would consider covering the cost of parts especially with such high labour cost. 100% will not deal with either company again. The same review will be left for Mountfield.
