I didn't think I would ever get clean and stay clean but ime now living in their supported housing and living my life with continued support through aftercare. The staff are amazing at what they do and the support offered is second to none. I have everyone at ANA to thank for giving me my life back.

๐ฆHugely Grateful for all the team at ANA; the recovery program offered is brilliant. As a past resident I am especially grateful for the amazing help that continues in the form of the After Care Program - (I attend via Zoom as not local to ANA). This grace-fuelled, extraordinary service has massively contributed to my ongoing Recovery, and continues to provide life saving support & help week after week. Thank You especially to the amazing A/C Team for helping so many of us navigate the choppy waters of real life recovery.

When I walked into ANA, I was a physical wreck, emotionally tormented and mentally living in a space world. I was absolutely soulless, living in my anger, resentment, in fear of life. I was totally out of control with my disease (alcohol), and how it was affecting me. Treatment was the best and only thing to do. From a lonely, isolated, distraught, near death, falling to pieces person, I learnt about my disease, the power it has over me and the debilitating mindset it brings, with serious consequences to my health and life. Studying Steps 1 to 3, I reflected on myself to peers and counsellors and gained understanding about who I am. I looked at all the negative aspects of my past and with commitment, support, reassurance and long sessions, I realised I had to accept my disease and addict self. ANA has taught me the importance of nurturing and profoundly changing my attitude towards life and my behaviour traits around this. I have learnt to trust myself and others positively, and I enjoy instances. Also, my family life has greatly changed, and very special relationships rekindled. I feel free. I am totally indebted to ANA counsellors and support staff. They are prepared, understanding, tolerant and professional. Secondary was outstanding, counsellors are highly skilled, experienced and committed to the clients' wellbeing and personal development. The programme itself is learning to live life on life's terms as recovering addicts and managing feelings and behaviour. It is an eye opener and very interesting. Having participated in both ANA Primary and ANA Works (Secondary); I feel more secure, I have increased self-esteem, confidence, energy and positivity. I have changed and I feel calm, safe, comfortable and aware. I would recommend ANA Treatment Centre to anyone who wants to improve management of their behaviour, feelings and conquer their addiction. Thank you. Nicola Harding.

Well where do I start.... I spent 12 weeks in ANA primary treatment and the help and support I received from staff, counselors and my peers was unbelievable. My first week was spent in detox and to be honest it's a bit of a blur, but after that I was made to feel safe and welcome whilst I attended group therapy work. After my first week I picked up COVID and along with other peers had to go into 10-day isolation. The staff were unbelievable as they had to bring our meals and food to our rooms, so they were rushed off their feet everyday. We were provided with a laptop so we could attend groups via zoom so that we did not miss out on too much of our treatment and recovery groups. We focused on steps one, two and three of the 12 step program and the knowledge, awareness and understanding of my disease and illness I gained from working these steps has been invaluable in my recovery. Apart from therapy groups, there were practical activity groups where we could relax chill, mix, socialize with other peers. These groups included photography, art, yoga, acupuncture, keep fit and also weekly trips out in the minibus. Regarding meals, breakfast was a get to your own of cereals, toast or whatever you bought from the shop. Lunch and dinner consisted of freshly cooked food with a choice of two different meals, always followed by dessert. Five nights a week the Hospitals and Institutions organisation came into the center with people from NA, CA and AA fellowships who shared their experience, strength and hope in recovery. Listening to them share gave me hope and belief that recovery is possible. I was able to attend church every Sunday and once a week church members came into the center to chat to those of us in recovery. I found this all helped in my spiritual recovery. I was lucky to be offered a further 8 weeks in ANA secondary and grabbed it with both hands. I lived in a shared house with others in recovery and had to do my own shopping, cooking, cleaning, getting to the treatment center and attending fellowship groups on my own. This was a good way of reintroducing me back to living life in the real world and also helped me raise my awareness of keeping myself safe in the real world. Again, the support of the counselors was out of this world and they continued to help and support me in all areas of my recovery. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were always on hand to help when I was struggling. I am now 8 months clean and sober and without the help of ANA primary and secondary treatment program I would not be in the position where I am at this moment in time which is healthy, happy, living a clean life but very much aware that I need to continue working this program to maintain my recovery. For me I only got out of the program what I put in, which was being open-minded, willing, listening to suggestions and my patience and tolerance of others were certainly put to the test. I nearly quit on at least four occasions but by using the tools that I was given and had learnt and doing what was suggested, I stayed the course and I'm so glad that I did. I would thoroughly recommend this treatment center to anyone who's looking to go into detox or rehab. I felt like I was Willy Wonka, I had the golden ticket that everyone wanted and I didn't want to waste this opportunity. Thank you again counselors, staff and peers who I worked with at ANA. You have given not only me my life back, but my family a husband and father back. THANK YOU ๐๐๐๐๐๐

In early January of this year, I was accepted into A.n.a treatment centre. When I walked into the primary centre I had no idea what to expect. All I knew at the time, was that I had, had enough of the way my life was, and that I was willing to accept help for my use of substances. I was made to feel very welcome from the start, by all of the staff. The food was amazing, and believe me, I like my food. My room had everything I could need. And there was an array of facilities when ever I needed them. The staff members at A.n.a are all very friendly, very understanding and help is always given, as an when it is asked for, and even when it is not. I am indebted to this treatment centre, as it helped save my life. Because 8 months ago I was on deaths door. After using substances for over 30 years. From when I was a child. I know that not a lot of addicts like myself, are given the golden opportunity that I did , to go to A.n.a treatment. To try and help myself with my issues and disease of addiction. Which I never realised that I had, until I went to A.n.a. My experience in A.n.a treatment, Is that I was willing to do anything to change. I was honest about my problems. And with building open-mindedness, while in the centre with the staff and other clients in my very position. My eyes started to open, at the hopeful thought, that I could achieve a life of serbriety. Something of which, I thought , a life never possible. After going through 1st and 2nd stages of treatment (6 months in total). Which I now can see that I desperately needed, after decades of denial. And have a gratitude for, which I can not put into words. I have learned and built the life skills, in order to keep myself safe, in the outside world. Without the use of substances. I must add that it was not easy at times, but it was easier than the times, that I was using. Even though, my treament finished a couple of months back. Aftercare is still available to me and is for the rest of my life. Either in group sessions and zoom, and even just a phone call away if I feel the need to reach out. Help is always given at A.n.a. With all the support through coming through A.n.a.. The guidance and suggestions I have been given, caringly by the Professionals at A.n.a.. Today I find myself living, and enjoying my life, one day at a time. Without the use of substances. Currently, at 8 months clean and still going strong. Looking at life with a different perspective. Filled with hope for my future. If you find yourself being given the chance, to change your life? For a life without substances?. Then A.n.a treatment centre, without doubt, would be my number one choice, for rehabilitation. Gratitude and great thanks to all at A.n.a. Keith Croft, grateful client and recovering addict.

This place saved my life. I recommend it to anyway struggling with substance misuse problems. ANA is very clean, welcoming and friendly. The bedrooms are amazing, and the grounds are really nice. The staff are friendly and the counselors are supportive.i started my journey from primary I was showed and treated with compassion and empathy and that able me to get honest about my issues. I then went on to secondary which was the best thing I have ever done โ secondary went deep into the roots of the problem awareness of behaviour and emotional. I usually use on feelings and emotions. But I was taught that I don't have to use on feelings when I do that am using or drinking because I want to change how I feel ๐ฏ I now no that feelings will always pass and give my self permission to feel those feelings. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have gone through ANA.it save my life and I recommend it to anyone that is using substance abuse and alcohol issues. It the best place to start journey of living clean. ๐ฏ it a life changer

Iโm an alcoholic. On the 10th January 2020, I started my treatment at ANA (primary). I arrived desperate, hopeless, full of anger and resentment. I learned back to follow an healthy routine first. But also I learned a lot about myself and my disease, because of the support of high professionalism of the team at ANA, especially the counsellors. I presented my 3 first steps from the 12-step program. I spent 3 months in the primary bubble, then 3 months in secondary when I started to learn to live again in the real world without the use of alcohol. Iโm today 7 months sober, back at home: Iโm a completely different woman, serene, hopeful,, happy. I canโt thank enough ANA for my life back. It was hard, emotional 6 months, but it definitely worst it: I was willing, honest and open minded , and followed all the suggestions. Moreover, ANA offers aftercare and introduced me to the addiction fellowships. Exceptional place to recover, I recommend it strongly!
