The incredible Janice and her team gave me the ultimate dream experience on the build up to our wedding. From the moment I walked into the tiny store (that is actually like a tardis with unexpectedly spacious dressing rooms!) I felt welcomed, immediately comfortable and just about as excited as I've ever been! They made it feel like a special occasion and like they're genuinely invested in finding the perfect dress for you and that they enjoy the journey with you. The quality and vast number of options of dresses available is impressive and I felt absolutely spoilt for choice. The service was impeccable from beginning to end and that's how I felt every time I visited the store. For me personally, I loved all of the staff I met, but Janice was the star of the show, albeit a reluctant and incredibly humble one! She is a phenomenal seamstress with vast experience and gives no nonsense advice, which was absolutely spot on every time, and I honestly believe my dress, and our day, would not have been as perfect if I hadn't listened to her. I quickly built a rapport with her and trusted her experience and opinions implicitly during the fittings and she was 100% right on what was best for the dress and how it fitted me. On our Wedding Day the dress fitted so beautifully, like it had been made just for me and it was an absolute joy to wear - I didn't want to take it off!! That is all thanks to the dedication and hard work that Janice put into getting it to tailor it to my shape... all while she had a broken wrist - I have no idea how she managed it but I am so grateful that she did and I will never forget the level of service, kindness, guidance and impressive skills from this wonderful woman and this incredible local business. So if you are looking for a wedding dress, or a prom dress and you want beautiful options, amazing service, that personal touch, and an impressively experienced seamstress - look no further than Amorae, they will make your dreams come true!!!

Lovely bridal shop. Holds far more of a collection than you'd think. Janice the seamstress is lovely and extremely helpful. As a bride do not expect a glass of champagne treatment on your first visit they would rather get down to the nitty gritty, that doesn't mean they pressure you to buy because they certainly do not, they just want you to be able to try on as many dresses as you can.

Amorae was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I took her advice! Janice was brilliant and so skilled in what she does. I knew whatever dress I chose would need quite a lot of alterations being quite petite!! Nothing was a problem and having found my dream dress she made it fit just perfect. I could not have been happier with my dress and all she did with it. Janice and her team made me feel very much at ease as I am not always the best shopper and get quite overwhelmed but their relaxed and friendly service was exactly what I needed. Put it this way I only went to one shop!

We had our magical, most perfect day on Saturday 28th May and I never felt more like a princess than i did that day in my dress I can’t recommend this beautiful shop and Janis enough!! My dress was absolutely PERFECT! From start to finish Janis was amazing, threw lockdowns and wedding dates being changed she made me feel at ease the whole time. Fantastic experience and everyone is still talking about the dress. Haven’t stopped smiling. Janis is so talented and kind and so is all the staff there. Warm and friendly and accommodating. Janice and Louise were God sent specially for me. Tiny looking shop but very spacious inside. Janice went out of her way to make alterations for my dress to fit what I asked for, Louise was so sweet, helped direct me honestly to the right dress of my dreams. Good customer service and they have pretty dresses at affordable prices. Try check their dresses before buying an expensive dress somewhere when you can get the same at a cheaper price at Amorae. You will come here and thank me later

I cannot recommend this beautiful shop enough, they really have made my wedding dress dreams come true. The shop is lovely, the staff (in particular Janis and Emma-Lee) are professional, attentive and friendly and the whole experience for me was just wonderful. Amorae was recommended to me by a family member. When I first entered the shop, I was unsure what I wanted having had a bad experience at a previous shop. Despite me giving very little away about what I was after, Emma-Lee used her experience and expertise to help find my dream dress without me really knowing what I was after. They really do go above and beyond for what is the biggest day of your life and they cater for all shapes and sizes. Thank you to everyone at Amorae for making my experience so lovely and for helping me find my dress, you have gone above and beyond for me. I wish all the staff and this beautiful business continued success for the future! x

Really disappointing visit to this bridal shop. I'd seen good reviews of this store and prioritised going there as a result but on arriving I immediately found that the staff didnt want me there... I'm not sure whether this was because I expressed the budgets I was working to (even though I'd suggested these weren't set in stone and could be increased), the staff just didnt seem all that bothered that they had a new bride in the shop that was excited to try on some dresses. They were proactively encouraging me not to try on the dresses I'd pre-selected before coming even though I wanted to see what the style looked like. It then transpired that they dont hold ANY dresses (other than those in the sale) that would fit anyone over a size 10-12 dress size. I'm a curvey girl (size 14) and wouldnt consider a size 14 as an unusual request to try on dresses for. The solution presented to me for the dresses that I liked but couldnt try on as a result was to purchase one of the sizes in a size 18(!) and have this fitted.... completely unhelpful and I absolutley wasnt going to commit to a dress that I couldnt even try on first. This was my first bridal shop visit and the whole thing was really not enjoyable. I wouldnt recommend going to this shop unless you're a size 10.
