After buying my dress from Ava Rose Hamilton, Amie was one of the recommended seamstresses closest to home. First appointment booked and I was a little apprehensive; I’d seen another bride in the same dress as I’d bought (it didn’t look great) and was nervous about how my dress would look in comparison. Amie made me feel so comfortable and understood what I needed and how to make the changes to make my dress perfect. Amie even managed to squeeze in my Maid of Honour’s dress alterations too! Second fitting was great and the dress fit, a few tweaks but getting there. Final fitting came and I was so nervous; I didn’t think the dress would fit…but it did. It fit PERFECTLY! I am thrilled and it was such a weight taken off my mind and I love how it fits me so well. Amie has done and amazing job and I would 100% recommend her to anyone that needs a dress altering! Amie is absolutely amazing, very professional and a genuine lovely lady. It all started after planning a short notice wedding in less than 8 weeks and after finding my perfect dress at Wed2B the pressure was on to get it altered, after a panic phone call to Amie and a fitting the fitting the following day my nerves we’re definitely eased. The fitting was as special as dress shopping, nothing was too much trouble and was so relaxed. Amie definitely has lots of experience and certainly knows what she is taking about, offered her advice but without being pushy. My second and final fitting was even better than my first because my dress not only looks but fits perfectly and I couldn’t have done it without her. I have used this business a few times for different items as it’s always difficult getting the right fit in all clothing , I have had women’s clothing and children’s clothing altered from jeans, dresses, bikinis, in the leg length and tightening on the waist and bust. I could not thank amie enough for the time, the quality of work and the professionalism she had shown. She takes a lot of pride in her work and is very good at it, she also makes you feel at ease during appointments!
