Thrilled with our transformed living room There are two main reasons why we are very pleased that we worked with Ann-Marie on our living room transformation. The first is the aesthetic result. Ann-Marie took on board our tastes and constraints of an heirloom sofa that had to stay. With her ideas and support, we were confident to be so much bolder than we would have been on our own. We love everything, but the lighting in particular was extremely successful. Secondly, Ann-Marie was excellent at the project management. She introduced us to a team of fantastic tradesmen and she kept a daunting programme moving forward at a good pace. We certainly could not have managed that without her.

We contracted Ann Marie to bring some colour into our home, starting with ideas for hallway (2-hour consultation) then a transformation of the living room (full design brief). There is no doubt that we would never have chosen the living colours ourselves but now this is our favourite room in the house. We have also learned lots in the process as Ann Marie took the time to explain colour choices and combinations to us. If you are a bit fed up of your decorating choices and are not brave enough to make changes yourself, I can highly recommend AMC Design.

What a difference using a professional makes. We now have the most beautiful lounge / dining room in a style we would never have come up with ourselves. We were sort of blind to how our house looked until Ann Marie asked us to complete a questionnaire then discussed the results and her ideas on what style might suit us better. Seemingly small issues made a huge difference to how the rooms look and we adore the solution. Now we're looking at the rest of the house! AMC design also provided all the professionals we needed in order to get the work done to a very high standard. Would definitely recommend! 5 stars! We have been absolutely delighted with our re-designed living room. Ann Marie encouraged us to use more colour and.we are so pleased with the result. She listened carefully at the start of the project to what we wanted to achieve and suggested some beautiful fabrics, fantastic lighting and accessories, as well as bespoke cabinets and a window seat. We contacted AMC Design following a number of recommendations from friends and local contacts. After being in our new house for 9 months and spending all of our time in the kitchen, we were really keen to gain a couple of homely spaces where we could relax at the end of the day. I have personally always been comfortable with a neutral palette and wanted to be pushed much more out of my comfort zone. We trusted Ann Marie and her team and even though we often felt uncertain as to how it would all come together, we’re totally delighted with the end result. We would never have found the time or had the vision to come up with such gorgeous rooms where we now love spending our time. Ann Marie took the hassle out of the project so we can now just enjoy where we live. Following the first 2 rooms, we invited her and the team back to complete another room for us which definitely didn’t disappoint! Given the chance I would use AMC for every single room in our home....Lovely people too!

I had never worked with an interior designer before, but contacted Ann Marie when we decided to rebuild our house to make it work for us as a family. My default is to prefer a neutral palette, but I knew that I needed to add some colour the greys that I love. Ann Marie designed our bedroom so that practical elements like lighting and storage were taken care of, but she also made me go further than I would have done by myself. I love our room and it feels really “me”, even though I would not have been so bold, if I had been left to my own devices. Our kitchen, dining room and living room are practical and sociable and I love how the neutral base is complemented by the bold colours.

3 things Ann Marie brought to the project were creativity, presentation of ideas and project management. She made the process fun, and made sure that the work carried out was high quality. Before Ann Marie got involved, my house hadn’t felt like home and I hadn’t put my signature on it yet. Even though we still have lots of the furniture which I inherited with the house, it really feels like it’s my place now. To anyone who is thinking of working with Ann Marie, I’d say the best thing is to give her plenty of wiggle room to do what she does and you will be surprised by her ideas and by how your property can look!

Ann Marie is an incredibly creative and professional interior designer. She redesigned our family living room not long after we moved in. I wanted to put my stamp on at least one room and she created a design that gave us the wow factor but that was also practical and affordable for a family of five. I particularly love the deep blue walls, ochre armchair and clever lighting scheme. And plenty of shelves for all our books, DVDs and magazines. I'd highly recommend Ann Marie and would happily ask her to design other rooms in my home.
