    Cannot see a doctor ! why do they send a message to say please call us for an appointment. Why dont they send you an appointment ? Then we have to get on phone for 1-2hours trying to book. Will never understand this action

    Once again phoned for appointment only to be told they have all gone by 9!!. On the2nd day iv tried. Not everyone can sit on open access to wait to be let down. The staff just don't listen. This practice seriously needs to change as its absolutely terrible service here. If your demands are that hight why close for an hour stay open, you have some amazing Drs here just need to change the way its run... its a shambles

    After a terrible experience at Winstree Road when I first moved to Colchester I was very nervous about joining Ambrose but I’ve been so impressed. They’ve gone above and beyond to get me an appointment as my job means that weeks day appts are not an option for me. Extremely friendly staff who are very helpful. The senior nurse practitioner at Winstree was so rude I she made me cry but the senior nurse at Ambrose left me laughing and smiling - really above and beyond in their cheerfulness which is just what you need when you’re not 100%

    If I could give 0 stars I would… firstly, you can never EVER get an appointment no matter what time you call, you’ll always be something like number 40 in the queue and after being on hold for 2 hours the appointments will all be taken. Secondly, the doctor prescribed me a specific brand of my medication instead of just generic. No pharmacies had this brand in stock, and they couldn’t give me a different brand of the same medication because of the specified brand on the prescription. This led me to going without medication for 2 days, experiencing awful withdrawal, despite calling the surgery several times in a desperate attempt to have the prescription amended.
