Oh dear. Disgraceful place to work, please never take a job here. Amazon rightly has the worse reputation for the way it treats its staff. The management are clearly told every so often (I overheard this too) that they need to start disciplining a certain amount of people from time to time, and they will do this by finding any fault they can make up and handing out what they call an adapt. This adapt can lead to letters and even threaten your job. I literally had a manager say that I was seen (never explained by who) coming off break late (and it could only have been by a few mins even if I did, as I was never off late for any time that would be fair to complain about) and so they gave an adapt. I had days stowing like everyone else where you are only getting big items so your rate will fall, and then this manager kept coming over and complaining about my rate, my manager even came over taking a photo of it on his tablet! Some managers are friendly but ultimately they are part of a dodgy company that treats their staff in an unacceptable manner, and they all have to follow Amazon's rules. No redeeming factors, you can get paid better and find a company that at least cares somewhat, rather than this pathetic soul-destroying experience. Working here will also probably make you cancel your Amazon Prime subscription when you realise what staff go through to get your super fast delivery! Oh yeah, and it's risky work too, as they don't care about health and safety (they talk the talk on it, but the place would be shut down if certain things were leaked!) Too much bad stuff for one review so am reporting to the appropriate bodies and will be starting up some online content to share everything in more detail as I want to do my bit to help expose this terrible company.
