FAQ

What should I expect during a typical visit to your office?

During a typical visit to our office, you can expect to be greeted by our friendly reception staff and checked in for your appointment. You will then meet with one of our Physician Assistants who will discuss your medical concerns and perform any necessary examinations or tests. They will then provide you with a diagnosis and treatment plan, which may include a prescription or referral to a specialist if needed.

How do your Physician Assistants collaborate with other healthcare providers such as doctors or nurses?

Our Physician Assistants work closely with other healthcare providers such as doctors and nurses to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. They collaborate on treatment plans and share information regarding patient care to ensure continuity and quality of care.

What is the process for scheduling appointments with your Physician Assistants and obtaining prescriptions or medical advice?

To schedule an appointment with one of our Physician Assistants, you can call our office or book online through our website. Our Physician Assistants can provide prescriptions and medical advice during your appointment, and follow-up appointments can be scheduled as needed.

What is the turnaround time for test results?

The turnaround time for test results can vary depending on the type of test and the laboratory processing the sample. Our Physician Assistants will provide an estimated timeline for when you can expect to receive your results, and will follow up with you as soon as they become available.

What is your availability and wait time for patients?

We strive to accommodate our patients' schedules and offer a variety of appointment times, including same-day appointments for urgent concerns. Wait times may vary depending on the nature of the appointment and the availability of our Physician Assistants, but we make every effort to keep wait times to a minimum.

The medical centre's receptionists may be busy with many calls, but they need to improve their communication with patients. They often sound stressed and rude, which makes patients feel unwelcome and like a burden. The receptionists should always be patient, friendly, and polite when talking to patients, as this is part of providing exceptional customer service. The medical centre should also provide additional training or hire more qualified staff to ensure that the receptionists are competent and professional. By putting patients first and creating a welcoming environment, the medical centre will benefit both its patients and itself.

Really impressed with the whole service. I called today for an emergency appointment and got a call back from the Dr within the hour! They dealt with my issue swiftly and sympathetically all in a 10 minute call. I didn't feel rushed and know I was listened to. I required a follow-up appointment and this was arranged for the following day. I understand that getting an appointment is difficult but if you call first thing and explain your situation, their triage system is efficient and will point you in the right direction. I have only been with the practice 11 months but I have had consistent care whenever I have needed it.

Calling every day for an appointment and they say we are full every time! The worst GP ever! Not recommended.

Shambolic joke and a complicated webpage system. ALL I WANT TO DO IS SEE A GP! How difficult can this be? I assure you at AMC it's not easy. Do they not realise that busy people don't want to sit by our phones at 8am and holding on for an hour! How have GP services ended up in such a mess?

I have now moved from this surgery as the service is getting worse. You are definitely just a number here. Difficult to make appointments, disjointed communications. I have to chase to get any results. Complained but things just continued to get worse. I personally believe they have too many patients

lovely building, good parking, excellent doctors, nurses, health care assistants and receptionist and very helpful pharmacist . Using the web site is relatively easy and certainly takes the pressure off the surgery. A good all round experience. thank you.
