Really impressed with the customer service received at Alternative flooring. We bought a really lovely made to measure rug to go by our front door. Unfortunately there was a slight issue with it which was sorted with speed and professionalism by customer care advisor Susie. Brilliant service and now extra pleased with our rug. Would definitely recommend.

I have previously had 3 rugs from this company and was completely satisfied. However my last purchase was way below the standard I expected. The border was very poorly applied. The stitching was shoddy and uneven, the corners not properly mitred and there were several greasy marks on the border. I sent my complaint via the retailer but also e-mailed the company myself expressing my disappointment with photos on the 24th March. There was no direct response to my e-mail which I would have expected as a common courtesy and I am still waiting to hear what action they are going to take. On the 5th April the complaints person told the retailer they were either going to replace the rug or re-do the border but since then I have heard absolutely nothing. The website boasts that their carpets are the best they can be and that they are sticklers for quality in production with expert craftsmanship. Empty words. My rug was thrown together without any evidence of craftsmanship and the customer service is zero to date. A month on and I am in limbo and unable to use my sitting room as the rug is intended as the carpet.

We ordered a custom made rug. The rugs looks very nice, unfortunately the quality is poor. Tom, the office manager, was very kind and offered a replacement. The replacement we ordered was a LUXX SHEER NARWAHL. considering that it’s a 100% polyester, expected it to wear better. However, in 3 to 4 months it’s starting to fray quite badly, only with people walking over it. Very disappointed in quality. 21 Jan 2022 It’s been 2 weeks since the owner asked me to send an email and I am still waiting to hear back. Really disappointed 😞

Beautiful designs but quality very, very poor. We purchased carpet for hall, stairs and landing - carpet clearly stated suitable for stairs. After a year the carpet was fraying on many of the treads up the stairs. We have noticed similar complaints from others too, online. Retailer replaced some of the worn strips but after two years the remainder are also wearing out. The company doesn't want to know. Clearly their carpets are not fit for purpose. Be warned! Just want to say that since contacting Lorna, as requested, our concerns have been fully addressed to our satisfaction. It's nice when customers are taken seriously. Well done Alternative Flooring!

We floored our entire house with Alternative flooring Sisal Bouclè Burnage a dark grey natural flooring. After 21 DAYS the floor had completely changed colour back to its original brown colour where exposed to natural light. This flooring is not colour fast at all. Alternative flooring show this product on their website endorsed by Homes & Gardens in front of windows and open patio doors. If like us you have windows in your house your flooring WILL CHANGE COLOUR. When we initially contacted them they said ‘this was perfectly normal, the colour in natural fibre floorcoverings is not colourfast and some colour loss can occur’ Buyers should be made aware just how much colour change there will be. I still don’t understand why they are selling a product which changes colour so dramatically over a very short period of time. So for all buyers considering this flooring see our photos for your expected colour change. Surely it’s not suitable for purpose?
