  One of the best companies i have dealt with. From the initial survey for Solar panels right up until install and post install checks they have been great. I would definiitely recommend for any work. Their price was competitive and kept me updated along the way (we had to wait for stock). The installers work was neat and tidy and worked with me for placement. Once system was installed there were a couple of updates need, Nathan and Louise came round to complete said updates, explained exaclty how the monitoring works and answer my questions. They also waited until the updates were complete to ensure there were no other issues. Special thanks to everyone that helped and apologies if i missed your name Jamie, Nathan, Ellie, Louise, Lloyd and all the installers.

  I shopped around a lot before choosing to go with Alternative Energy Services for my solar install. Louise was extremely helpful every step of the way answering my never ending questions and imparting her knowledge so that I fully understood my system. There were a few small snags with supply of some parts but I was kept informed and once installed and commissioned the system works brilliantly. I spend most days staring at the dashboard and seeing how much energy it makes. As of now, a sunny day in July the system can make as much as 40kw a day!! Very pleased and have already recommended to others.

  I would like to believe that we were the unlucky customer but so much went wrong that I believe this to be a result of a lack of business systems, experience and team communications. AES delivered the wrong panels twice, forgot to supply the optimisers, delivered insufficient quantities of mounting materials and tried to extract themselves from fitting the essential bird mesh - all of which extended the installation from ‘one or two days’ to 6 weeks of misery whilst they blamed each other or their suppliers. The installers contracted by AES generally performed good quality work and took great care – although why they stopped halfway through the replacement of damaged tiles is a complete mystery considering the good work performed until then. What was even worse was the total lack of empathy or apology from the directors who ignored emails and appeared to not care – I may not have written this review had they engaged and we worked together to resolve the issues. I was just blanked by AES although one valiant customer relationship manager continues to address the outstanding documentation and questions – even so many of the latter could have been addressed by a proper user induction session. The 25 years of experience they claim must be embodied between the installation teams but the service we received felt like the AES business had less than 25 weeks of experience. Beware. I will provide an update once the outstanding documentation and questions are addressed. Yes, the system is operating but I have questions that need to be answered to ensure my confidence that all is working as it should.

  I was sold a 3kw battery by this company for over £4500 in late February. To date it appears to have saved me on average 3kw a day over presumably an average to good time of year i.e. March, April, May. At the current rate of 28p per kW that's 84p which means £306.60 a year. Since the battery will only last 10 years that is a loss of over £1400. £4500 invested at 2% will grow to £5485 in 10 years! If you are considering buying a battery do insist on seeing the EPVS form second page. This will spell this out. Do not be swayed by salesmanship. Batteries are not magic. I can't believe I fell for the hard sell after I tried to cancel over the phone. It has quite knocked my confidence over 3 months on. The fitters were very efficient and pleasant.

  I am so pleased with the end result --- which is making great use of natural renewable energy and the savings already seen on my electricity bill. From the middle of February (when I started to seek quotations from various companies) to now, the journey has been very exciting and very worthwhile. I chose Alternative Energy Services for the quality of their quotation and the promise of services to be provided. It hasn't been a journey without hiccups but these have been quickly ironed out and I now have a fully working system which I can monitor on my app --- and it pleases me. Many thanks.

  The knowledge and time they took to explain and breakdown all the questions i had was the best i've dealt with looking for solar. It was refreshing to be treated like a human keen on solar and not having to hear over the top sales pitch (thank you). I have done A LOT of research and had a lot of quotes to justify this review. Deposit paid, now i look forward to the installation, will follow up with another review once its installed. i highly recommend giving AES a call.

  After a visit earlier in the year to check my mum's solar energy generating system, Alternative Energy Services installed an energy storage system for her. Although at the time it seemed like the right option for her, she found that it didn't actually operate as she expected. We contacted the team at AES and they were very understanding of the situation and offered to remove the system when they were next in the area. Both the original installation and removal were carried out professionally and cleanly, the engineers were polite and respectful and although the system did not suit my mum, both of us were impressed by the customer service provided by AES.

  the chap who came to visit was very knowledgeable and explained everything in an easy to understand way,he also had a good sense of humour and i felt i had known him years not just half an hour communication between the electrician and us was excellent,and the work carried out was done to a high standard. The electrician and his assistant very polite and very pleasant I would recommend this firm
