Stephen and his son are amazing tailors whether it be making a suit from scratch or adjusting suits you have purchased else where, Thier attention to detail and honest suggestions are 2nd to none. This week I popped in and they didn't have suits that I liked, in the current climate, I can't try suits on, Stephen came with me to another retailer to cast his eye over the shape of the suits before taking them back to his shop to tailor fit, you really can't get better then that!!! Absolutely recommended, especially for delicate womenswear (which may not be immediately obvious from the shopfront). They can make you look 6lbs lighter with a few tucks! Excellent service performed very quickly. Bought a last minute suit in Bluewater which needed some tailoring, the guy at Altered States performed the alterations to a waistcoat and trousers in just a few hours. Friendly service, reasonable price (£18 for trousers £40 for waistcoat with urgency). Highly recommend

We used altered states for our wedding suits - suits adjusted and the grooms waistcoat, ties and pocket squares were made by altered states and we were so pleased with them and they looked really great on the wedding day!
