Really disappointed with quality of the finished product. Ordered Juliette balcony from Alpha Rail based on the reviews. Received product to find a series of poorly finished welds that had not been ground down and therefore created massive powder coating blobs. The galvanising process (i was told via email) creates impurities / imperfections that are then passed through the production process to powder coating. Raised the complaint which was instantly responded to by the customer service lady (very polite) and helpful. It then took over a week for the production team to respond quoting various British Standards that they adhere to (though most of these seem to be first party declarations and only their management systems are externally audited not their production processes). As a customer i was given a choice of; 1. A Full refund but incur cost and time sourcing an alternative solution and having to potentially modify the mounting points for a different product and thus incurring more costs with our builders. 2. Have a replacement product but was told that there would be no uplift in quality of the finish 3. Stick with what I've got Nothing massively unreasonable in the company's response but it would have been helpful and honest of the company to state that overall product finish is compromised by their galvanising and powder coating process and the fact they don't have a refined finishing process post welding. Don't buy a lot of Juliette balcony rails but I do audit a lot of factories and I will not be rushing back to this one.
