John and his team at Alpha Plus were recommended to us by a friend to refurbish our home last year. They completely remodelled our small terrace home, including a loft conversion, which included lowering the whole first-floor ceiling, in order to meet building regulations, and as such meant that the whole floor was remodelled and rebuilt. I could not have been happier, and even now, over a year later, I am still excited when I see the transformation – a modern and spacious first and second floor, which is utilising every inch of available space. Downstairs, my new kitchen is equally modern with clean lines and practical use of space. John is so enthusiastic about each element of the refurb, and the team is super flexible and worked with me to get things just the way I wanted for as close to my budget as possible. His advice and contacts in terms of structural surveyors and Local Authority regulations meant that I didn’t have to get involved in the technical side of the renovations, and his design work, estimates for work, project management skills, and communication are top notch. The team always ensured they cleaned up after themselves every day, and were completely respectful of me and my home at all times, ensuring health and safety were maintained at all times, especially important to me as I was living and working in the house while the work was ongoing. I can 100% recommend Alpha Plus, and look forward to working with them again for our next project. This year, we called on John to build an ensuite garden room, and renovate my garden – wow! The new room is now my office, and serves as an extra bedroom for when we have visitors, and the garden - what a transformation. I can’t wait to get out there…when the weather improves. John built me the most amazing extension to my mid-terraced cottage. He was always punctual, considerate & cleaned so thoroughly at the end of each day, I never would have known anyone had been working. His craftsmanship & attention to detail is incredible & of the highest level. John is a perfectionist & only the best will do for him. I can’t recommend him highly enough. In fact when he had finished the extension laid a solid maple floor in the kitchen extension & built a huge kitchen cupboard to house the boiler & provide storage, I decided I wanted the maple flooring to extend into the living room. John came back & did the most amazing job for me.

John came back to do our kitchen refurbishment and downstairs toilet after making a great job of the upstairs bathroom. John listens to every detail and makes sure that you are happy along the way. He had to knock out an old extension and re-build. He also had to reconfigure the walls, put in a steel beam in and get rid of an old small galley kitchen. The results are amazing, as you can see in the photos. We had a vision of what we wanted and John helped us to shape this! We didn’t actually Invision it being as amazing as this. It’s only with Johns's hard work, dedication and listening skills that we ended up with this. There are not many builders like John!
