I've inherited some jewellery and I was looking for professional advice on valuation as I was confused on further action. I came across the Almaz Valuation website in London and booked my appointment online in their Hatton Garden office. The office location is central, 5 min walk from the Chancery Lane underground station. The company owner Anna met me in the office, she was very polite and professional. Anna looked through my jewellery and advised accordingly on the Probate and resale value, the whole process took less than 30 minutes. She also liaised with my solicitors and completed the required paperwork within a week. All in all, very professional service and pleasant experience. Thank you, much appreciate all your help.

A disappointing experience which left a bitter taste. I agreed to pay for an additional valuation of a wedding ring on the basis that Anna verbally confirmed the minimum price. On the basis this reflected an increase on an older valuation, I agreed to pay the £70 cost. On receipt of the valuation report, the price was substantially lower than confirmed and the report was addressed to the wrong names. An amended report was sent after chasers and the postage amount was insufficient so we ended up paying the difference to Royal Mail. In addition, the valuation of our engagement was 50% lower than Anna had confirmed verbally. Whilst I found her to be professional on the day of our home visit, her actions thereafter were not. The sales pitch worked but unfortunately it left a bitter taste. I would not recommend her services as integrity, honesty and getting the basics right were left wanting! Update: my surname name is not Morgan and specific high value insurance items are those over £4,000. Royal Mail charged £1.50 to redeem the 2nd report with the correct name due to your mess up (evidence attached). Clearly you don’t listen to the facts nor recall the conversation we had and yet you feel the need to justify your own inaccurate facts in detail! Very unprofessional on your part!
