When a restaurant charges £5 supplements for steak on a simple 2/3 course menu, the food should be cooked to the customers' satisfaction, rather than the chef's. Sorry to say but food was poor quality, overcooked and overpriced for what was on offer. Service charge is added automatically and on this occasion the staff failed to earn it. Young waiting on team don't seem have the authority to satisfactorily resolve complaints when some of our party returned their meals. May have caught the kitchen on a bad day (early Friday evening) but would not recommend if food quality is something you are looking for.

Came here for a stag do. Pre-ordered food for 11 but there was a 12th member joining last minute. Staff said they couldn’t serve him food as it was pre-orders only - fair enough. What became ridiculous was they wouldn’t give us a spare chair for the 12th member to sit and drink at our table! Spent 20 minutes asking the staff for a spare chair but they constantly said “there’s no space, there’s no chairs” despite there being loads of chairs dotted around the restaurant, and the upstairs was completely empty. Eventually got a spot but we did not appreciate the argument and staff incompetence. Then we waited 1.5 hours for desert to eventually be told it wasn’t coming. Really bad - sort it out!

Really disappointed. Looked such a lovely place and it actually is just a shame about some of the staff considering the amount of money we paid here today. Our visit was for a hen party and although the dancers were actually stunning and pleasant the bar staff on the other hand were very rude and abrupt. Food was nothing special either. Some of our party were none drinkers and the venue would not let us pick a different option for them which meant they paid for alcoholic drinks they didn’t and couldn’t drink on the bottomless brunch. Absolutely appalling considering how much we all spent in there. Not a place I would hurry back to considering this. Only gave 2 stars and that was for the dancers nothing more

Really unimpressed with the Samba afternoon tea. £30 for a basic one but you could pay an extra £20 each for bottomless drinks. So for 4 people you'd pay £80 for your prosecco! Bit of a rip off. For the price, I'd expect at least a glass of prosecco with my tea. Samba element was a girl grating at your table to music so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. For the inflated price you had an opportunity to try on a headdress - wow seriously! There was nothing telling you what the prices were and what was included. It had been advertised as £40 for bottomless when we booked it but that had mysteriously been removed from the website on the day. We couldn't wait to leave. Plenty of other places in town doing Afternoon tea so much better. Such a shame as they could have made it brilliant but we won't be back.
