My wife's car has had 4 19" JCW alloys since we bought it, and over the years, all the alloys have been scuffed. One wheel has had trouble holding tyre pressure, requiring me to consistently pump it up every few weeks, when the tyre warning light comes on. On top of that, it also has runflats on it, which I think cause excessive road noise, and make the ride that little bit harsher. So I figured that I would get in touch with AlloyArt, having had them recommended by my local garage, and a few people at work. I used the website, took some photos of my alloys, and sent off a request to see how much repair, refurb and new tyres - normal ones would cost. The return communication that I received was excellent, confident concise and clear. I was given options and prices for everything that I had asked for. So there were a few email exchanges, based on the tyre options etc, and I settled on just having the one alloy repaired, and new tyres all round. There was no hard sell at any point, and I admit, that I was expecting some pressure, as this is a company that deals with people who are passionate about cars, nice cars, with eye catching alloys. I felt as though my request, for a repair and tyres was not really what they would accept. However, the car was booked in, and I am happy that this is not the case at all. The estate is the other side of Southend from me, but the traffic was fine, shame about the potholes, but we got there and dropped the car off, after the team had taken a look at the car, and understood what we wanted. The next day, I got a call explaining that the alloys were ball finished, and that refurbing them would only be possible if the alloys were painted - as removing the material to refurb would go into the painted spokes - which I decided was good info, and lead me to just have the repair for the moment. The team kept the car for 2 days. When we collected the car, we were given a good explanation of what had been done, and we were shown where the car was, just around the corner, as they have a lot of work, but limited car park space at the shop. So my wife drove home a different way, with less potholes, and she is very happy with the car, it's repaired alloy, and the new tyres. I would have no hesitation in using Alloy Art again. They are an honest company, doing an honest job. The prices, options and explanations were all well explained, and the service was friendly. The communication was a high standard, callbacks, SMS reminders etc, overall, a great company to do business with, and for me the only one I will consider going forward.
