Do not use - say they aren’t charging your card but will do it anyway and hold funds for a month! Submitted the online form to hire a van, which states no payment will be taken until the booking is confirmed. Quickly received an email saying the van wasn’t available and booking was cancelled, no charge to the card and any preauthorisation has been released. This was not true as the money was taken from my account and two weeks later has still not been returned. On calling their offices I was told there’s nothing they can do and just to wait 28 days for funds to be released. Be clearer with your website and email comms that you are charging cards and making a booking on your website is likely to leave you out of pocket if they have no availability. Also don’t bother trying to call to book as they rarely answer the phone. Would not recommend, plenty of much better and more trustworthy companies in the area.

If I could leave a minus rating I would!!!!!! Absolutely the worst hire company ever. After booking a van and giving my details I went to collect the van to be told I can’t have one ( I’ve 9 points on my licence so I do get it) BUT should have told me before I caught three trains and a taxi to get to their depot.! They had no empathy at all and INFACT where actually rude about it other than the young lady on reception. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Not mention that three years ago I hired a minibus to go to Italy with and the brake pads went half way down!! AVOID THIS AWFUL COMPANY!

Used Allied twice this summer and both times had no issues. The 9 seater had quite a bit of wear and tear but served the purpose we needed it for. The 17 seater was in better condition but speed was limited to 66mph. Both times the pick up process was smooth. There was a slight wait as there was only person doing all the paperwork for all the customers. Overall would recommend and and will use them again in the near future.
