I was lucky enough to drink some curlews return in the teesdale in middleton in teesdale. I am a real lover of real ales and I've got to say this is my favourite.

Great ale! Enjoyed a superb pint of Pennine Pale at a hotel near The Wall. While driving home to the M6 via Alston saw the sign for Allendale. Felt compelled to pop the brewery postcode in the sat nav. Bingo. Friendly staff in the shop saw me leave with a 12 pack of Pennine Pale and a t-shirt. Thanks guys. Happy memories and fantastic flavour with every bottle. I’ll be back.

I had sampled some Allendale brews before and, as I was in the area, I thought that I would pop in and see what was on on offer. And what was on offer was a friendly welcome and a mixed case of some very tasty brews. I must agree with a previous reviewer and "Anvil" is a particular favourite of mine. ...but I haven't tried them all yet. I have tried Golden Plover, which is a lovely light ale, perfect for those warm summer evenings....hopefully we'll get some :) The welcome is great and the beers are great. I will be ordering more on-line and popping back to the shop the next time I am in the area. Thank you Allendale Brewery, keep up the excellent work.
