Bit odd as its a modern church built inside an older ruin. It was locked up when we visited which was in the middle of the day on a saturday. Worth a quick look around, it has some old graves dating back to the 1700s

Grade 2 listed building. Intriguing that it is two buildings on the one plot - the inner 1960's church sits inside the ruined 13th and 15th century outer church. Not seen this before - churches being Russian Matryoshka! The Royalists held the church when it was besieged by the Parliamentarians in 1644. 11 cannons caused extensive damage when 60 cannonballs were fired in one day. The inner church was completed in 1967. Unusual ceiling structure and light fittings inside the church. Church noted as having been sketched by Turner. Attractive interior, though some of the paintwork needs attention. Very photogenic building.
