Aqua Park - looks fun for the kids. Was helping tighten some ropes so scuba diving. Viz is poor to none existent, with bottom that kicks up if touched. Shame as it's so close to home, would have been a good location for dive training with our local club.

Have visited Lakeside Shopping Centre countless times - always had a thought of the location of the lake or lack thereof!!! The Lake is very neatly hidden behind brick and mortars and it is flanked on its 3 sides by Lakeside Shopping Centre, Lakeside Retail Park and Tesco Extra. The 4th side is flanked by the Arterial Road West Thurrock. The Lake is called Alexandra Lake and is full of water activities - Water Fountain, Aqua Park, Skuna Boats - Hot Tub Boats, Mini Port - electric model ships for hire. Lake Water seems like a teardrop-silver in colour and stand-still with occasional ripples created by waterfowl or leaves dropping from tree or the gust of winds! Reflection of Skyline, Trees and can be clearly visible on the lake water! Presence of wildfowl is noticeable but compared to similar lakes, perhaps it seems numbers are much less. Small bird island 🏝 in the middle provides perfect Hideout for wildfowl and wildlife! Walking Trail around the lake is paved and fenced enabling the trail accessible and safer for all abilities and of all ages! From the Boardwalk, one can observe the majestic sunsets 🌇 over the Lake! Restaurants and Leisure Activities along The Boardwalk and The Quay including Puttshack, Partyman World of Play, Hollywood Bowl, Outdoor Gym, Small Children's Play Area provide an outstanding view of the lake! It's a constant battle between the serenity of the silver lining lake and hassle & bustle of the Lakeside Shopping Centre, Retail Park and nearby motorways! Alexandra Lake tries to reflect the outstanding natural beauty, Nature Conservation Areas of Thurrock right into the middle of the buzzing shopping centre popular with locals and afar!
