Absolutely gorgeous! Food, Service and atmosphere was lovely. Great for a special occasion too. Above average prices but you get what you pay for, top service and gorgeous food. The Beef Wellington special was huge, tasty and perfect! Staff are attentive, friendly and professional. The location is stunning too, surrounded by greenery and beautiful sunset views at rear. There was even a proposal on another table! Will definitely return :-)

Excellent restaurant with excellent service. I visited with my partner for my birthday and we was welcomed by the manager when we walked in. He was great and pointed to a couple of lovely tables we could choose from, knowing that it was a special occasion. He made us feel very welcome and relaxed and is a true asset to Alec's. We chose the set menu which had great options and we were not disappointed, all of the food was brought out quickly (but not rushed at all), very well presented and all really yummy! We also had a fabulous waiter called Andrei who was very kind and attentive. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return again. Great place to visit for a special occasion.

Been using this restaurant regularly for many years. Given it the benefit of the doubt on our last two disappointing visits. Gone rapidly downhill though and yesterday’s experience will probably be our last. One of our guests was served the smallest piece of skate I have ever seen. The rest of our food and service was also nowhere near the quality expected for a £100 per head bill. Sparse helpings of meat and a plate filled with vegetables to dress it up. Our guest politely mentioned it (after we had settled the bill and hefty service charge) and was asked if we had ordered the set menu or a la carte! What difference should that make? And what poor and verging on rude customer service. A lovely spacious venue but they have taken their eye off the ball.
