Being new to the UK, I toured a multitude of nursery schools before settling on the perfect place for my daughter. Albany Montessori felt like the perfect fit from day one. The teachers really made my daughter feel like part of a family. She is constantly engaged, but allowed to explore her own interests. I’m so impressed by the way this has increased her feelings of self efficacy and overall confidence. Between French and Mandarin lessons, she also takes a “welly walk” to the park every week. She loves her school so much! I highly recommend Albany Montessori.

Very calm and nurturing environment which brings the best out of the children. The staff are amazing, they all know the children well and work in true partnership with the children. My son is thriving, he's gained so much confidence because he feels so safe and encouraged in their care.

Both our daughters have attended the Albany Montessori nursery and both have loved their time there. The environment is nurturing and loving, the learning is gentle and at the child's own pace, never rushed or pushed, but constant and supporting. The activities are lovely and the friendships created here have lasted well into junior school for our eldest daughter, despite her not being at the same school as her nursery friends. We too will be extremely sad to move past our nursery days. The owners Fawzia and Tim treat the children and parents like extended family, and the staff are all naturally caring and nurturing. Couldn't think of a better start for kids as an introduction to learning.

We just started to live in UK which is our first international experience as a family. The hospitality from the manager, Fawzia, was incredible and she gave us comfort as a foreigner to leave our 3.5years old daughter to her school. All the teachers are friendly, charming and helping our child to settle in UK. The location is great, near the park and westminster lodge. This is fantastic for children and also parents.

The location of this Montessori is perfect- it's a brisk 12 minute jog from St. Albans City train station and only a stone's throw away from the park which the children visit once a week. Hence, it keeps us all healthy! The family-run nursery has a positive, creative, and fun vibe: Tim, is an excellent manager, talented singer and guitar player while Fawzia is calm, an undercover multitasker, and extremely organised. The nursery staff are gentle, nurturing, and empathetic. They are good at listening, communicating and anticipating the needs of the children as well as teaching the children learn how communicate their emotions through words, then sentences. We don't speak English to our children at home so they acquire their English mostly at the Montessori. We love this Montessori so much and would highly recommend to all our friends.

I can't think of a better nursery for my children. Fantastic staff, great location across the Westminster Lodge, a lovely community feel in a very spacious facility, with a wide range of activities offered each day (music, French, Chinese, outdoor play...). Most importantly I found that Albany Montessori helped my children to become confident and positive. This is achieved by the nursery workers who continuously encourage learning, curiosity and fraternity. My children made close and long-lasting friends while at Albany Montessori, which I find very meaningful.

All three of my children have attended the Albany over the past few years with my youngest one currently in her first year there. They have all thrived despite their different personalities and learning styles. The staff are amazing, so caring and attentive. It is a calm, nuturing space that somehow avoids the noise and mayhem I have witnessed at some other nurseries. I love catching the end of a yoga or French lesson if I arrive a little early. So sweet to see the little circle of children concentrating so much on standing tall like a tree then rolling up their mats happily when they are finished. I couldn't reccommend it highly enough and will be very sad when my children's nursery days are over.
