My husband has bought Alan Paine sweaters for over 50 years. We ordered 3 directly from the UK. Shortly after wearing them there was heavy piling.We called the company and they asked us to wash them. We washed one which caused further piling, shrinking and a small hole. The sweaters were sent back for examination after which Alan Paine sent them back after arguing accusingly with us for over a half hour. The decline in quality and rude customer service is disappointing after being a loyal customer for so long. They do not stand by their products nor do they care about customer loyalty.
