i genuinely don't understand how the students at the university of manchester are able to function. tell me why i was here at 1am on a sunday night and it was nearly impossible to find a table. half the kids there aren't even studying they were just ordering in mcdonalds and gabbing! if i went here as a full time student i think i would flunk out.

Pros: open 24/7, able to book rooms in advance but during exam season rooms cant be booked and is first come basis, only for UoM students, friendly security, disabled toilets, vending machines with drinks and snacks, filtered drinking water (I think), warm, sleeping chair, study booths, printers, nice place outside to sit during the rare days the sun shows up, has a cafe Cons: during summer it can get quite hot inside especially in if ur in a room (should have an AC), the computers tend to be slow freeze a lot if ur working on some softwares and should be upgraded, some socket plugs on the desk don't work, can't take hot food inside(doesn't stop me from trying), sometimes the toilets are left in horrible conditions, during exam season people leave their stuff overnight to reserve space for the following day,

Best library building in UoM. It’s the only one which is open 24 hours(actually absurd). The seats are really comfortable compared to other buildings. It’s quiet. My favourite part is that it has a sleeping chair you can take a nap when you’re exhausted. The bad side is, you need to get in the library early to pick up a good seat.

A good study space on campus much better than the main library however during exam season, toilets deteriorate and too many campers where people leave their stuff and hog the desks when it’s not in use so there’s not much seating for the demand. Staff do nothing to prevent desk hogging.
