On the last day of my rental the tyre air pressure sensor went on. When returning the car the staff member asked me to sign a paper about that. And they used this as a reason not to return the 200 quid deposit, saying they had to inspect the vehicle with their inspection branch and fix the nail in the tyre issue. Quite suspiciously the charge for that was nearly 200 quid. It seems to me they just create business for their inspection subcontractor this way. The tyre pressure sensors in some models are notoriously unreliable if not for more tricks.

Was given a defective suv. Dash went out several times, we could not see the speed we were going. Blinkers went out and had many mechanical glitches. We did not feel safe with the car so we called to get a new one. Was told they would call us back in 30 mins and no one ever did. We kept reaching out to Alamo directly via e-mail and phone call never got help. Felt very unsafe in the car especially with a baby in the car. We stopped use of the car as we could not get another one. Had to use family car which put them out. Super unhappy about my experience. Alamo also hasn't helped since calling them and e-mailing them too. Avoid this place if you want a safe car and staff that actually contact you back.

Flight got delayed. I contacted them well before arriving time. They said they would keep an eye on the flight and call me back. Arrived at the office. Nobody there. Had to rent a car from another company. Tried several times to reach Alamo at Manchester airport the next day -no luck. Disappointed. Never again.

I have used Alamo throughout all my business trips in USA and am very familiar with their excellent service. Upon arrival during the festive period, their was a major shortage of vehicles as this coincided with the local transportation strikes, however the branch did everything they could to remedy the issue and demonstrated that they can stand up and resolve problems as and when they arise hence why I have given them 5 stars. Dropping car off with a breeze as well and stress free, will certainly use again.
