    Useless place, booking cancelled last minute with no help nor alternate arrangements. We got directed to Avis to rent the same car for 500GBP. (Alamo quoted 70GBP).

    My wife and I rented a top of the range Audi. No sooner had we left the building we realised the air conditioning didn't work and the steering was playing up. Alamo is too small to offer decent support. You can't call outside normal working hours, inside working hours you can't reach the branch and the central call centre can't help, their out of hours AA service would not fix the aircon unless we paid for it. And their branches are few and far between to drop in. It's a lesson to stick with the big guys. And if you're reading this Alamo Luton, answer the phone!

    I rented the car on 29.12.21,20:30 from Luton and dropped off the next day to Gatwick at 06:30. I received an email with a damage on the driver side tire being damaged. And I have to pay for the tire that 100% has not been damaged on this trip. Make sure you check the car before you hire it as they don't have any photos with the car being checked before your rental.

    For my requirements Alamo offered the best price car hire I could find from a well known car hire company. Service upon arrival was efficient and courteous. However I felt somewhat duped into buying the prepaid fuel option as it later transpired that the per litre price advertised at the counter excluded VAT (apparently) - I found this very misleading.

    Worst customer service ever! I was flying in from US and needed to get to York that evening. Booked and paid a month in advance for the rental car, then double checked the night before to make sure it was there etc. All confirmed with the friendly reservations lady. When I arrived at the rental place at the allotted time there was no staff there, I waited 20-30 minutes, and 2 guys casually walked in didn’t realize they were staff at first, I told them I had been waiting half an hour for my car, no apology, they took my name and said ohh that car came back damaged this morning and we don’t have another car for you. We tried calling you, to which I showed them my phone and there were no calls from them or messages. Just the call I made the night before confirming everything was in order. I asked if I could have another car but they had none available, to which the other member of staff thought it was hilarious and started laughing behind his computer. So I was left stranded in the dark in pouring rain with all my luggage and no means of transport, or any offer of help from these 2 rude employees. Most definitely the worst customer care I have ever experienced!!!
