    (Translated by Google) Easy to pick up at the airport, except for longer waiting times. My family and I rented the car for 5 days. The first 4 days were completely normal. However, on the way back to Heathrow, after about 70 km, the car suffered an engine failure and the car stopped gasping. Not very helpful staff on the phone except for a few people who at least tried. Thanks to this incident, we missed our return flight. reluctantly again. (Original) Abholung am Flughafen problemlos, bis auf längere Wartezeiten. Das Auto haben meine Familie und ich 5 Tage lang gemietet. Die ersten 4 Tage verliefen ganz normal. Jedoch bei der Rückfahrt nach Heathrow erlitt das Auto nach ungefähr 70 Km einen Motorschaden und das Auto nahm kein Gas mehr an. Nicht sehr hilfsbereites Personal am Telefon bis auf wenige Personen, die es wenigstens versuchten. Dank dieses Vorfalls verpassten wir unseren Rückflug. Ungern wieder.

    When we reach, we was told the vehicle that we booked is not available. They replace a sedan instead of the initial mpv. Obviously, it’s a downgrade. After rejecting the car, we ended up getting a 8 seater as it seems like they don’t have any options. Since no options left and it’s considered an upgrade, I accepted it. Sale person (not very friendly. Not honest for sure) keep pushing for add-ons eg wind screen protection, tyre protection etc and told us that £3000 will be charged even if there is a chip on the screen. We ended up paying a lot more. What was more frustrating is that the bill we later received was charge even more than what was told. Charges uncleared with more than the amount that was agreed. Promise to refund 1 day protection fee as we return the car one day earlier but didn’t. Please try to avoid them at all cost.

    When enter the counter been told no need input detail because i have earlier record rent car a week ago. Keep asking follow up end up 1 hour to take the car after told me should input my personal details, that the main reason they dont provide me a car immediately. This can't accept! Why don't tell me early but confuse me don't need when I'm scanned the QR and doing it!!!???

    Alamo Heathrow Airport London UK. We rented thru Costco to get a better deal, from shuttle pick up at our arrival terminal thru to shuttle dropping us of at the terminal 3 weeks later the staff were awesome. As soon as we exited the shuttle staff were ready to get us in the vehicle and on return prompt, friendly professional service. These guys set the gold standard for customer experience. Now the bad, Alamo charged us twice for the rental, when we picked and again when we dropped off, I question in 2023 how could Alamo not know we had already paid. At first they claimed the initial charge was only a hold and the second charge was the final payment until I sent them a screen shot of the first charge being paid. Recommend watching your credit card statement when dealing with Alamo to avoid being charged twice, shame as it tarnished an otherwise great experience, hence only 3 stars Its a shame the accounting and care people let down rest of the team.
