  Mr Ahmed Ahmed is the surgeon other surgeons trust and go to when they or their loved ones need treatment - as did I. He has my respect as an outstandingly skilled surgeon but on top of that he is kind and professional at every step. His team is second to none and overall the service they provided for me was faultless. I had a cholecystectomy and a few years later a sleeve gastrectomy by Mr Ahmed without a single complication. I am very grateful to the whole team. I wholeheartedly recommend Mr Ahmed to anyone considering a surgical procedure by him.

  I saw Mr Ahmed for an initial consultation re my weight after it ballooned in the last 10 years to 100 kilos - (am 5ft4) my own doing of course, triggered by a confluence of life factors including pregnancy / divorce / depression / comfort eating / what I realise now was an addiction to food and takeaways. I def lost my self esteem somewhere in the mix which didn’t help.⭐️ ⭐️In any case after years & £’s spent on personal trainers, yo-yo dieting +trialling different weight loss products I decided to look into doing something more permanent. Physically, mentally + emotionally this was the best thing I have ever done for myself & I wish I’d mentally seen it as a viable and accessible, and honestly - shame-free -straightforward & permanent option earlier. ⭐️ After my initial appmt I booked to have the sleeve done 4 weeks later - and I haven’t looked back. ⭐️I went from 99 kilos to 70 kilos in 4 months with a target weight of 60 kilos after 12 months. The care and professionalism from Mr Ahmed’s team + the reassurance & support throughout the entire process was unparalleled. Shout out to Dr Cousins who was just the epitome of calm and charm and administered an excellent anaesthetic 🙌🏼 The procedure itself was smooth, swift & scarless - and exceeded all my hopes and expectations from the moment of admission to going under to waking up to being discharged. I was up and running🏃‍♀️ (ok not running !) walking (!) around the ward a few hours after the op (courtesy of one of the most incredible, talented, empathetic, smart and special nurses I have ever met Angie). I had the standard 2 nights in hospital followed by 2 days resting at home and then I was literally straight back to work - commuting on the tube to the office. ⭐️I honestly don’t know what I was expecting but how simple and straightforward and fuss free the recovery was blew my mind. ⭐️ ⭐️Yes I’ve had to learn to re- eat much like a baby does when she / he starts weaning but this is a great thing. I needed to do it and wanted to do it. I’ve swapped jaffa cakes for protein balls (who knew they were so good!) and diet / fizzy drinks for protein shakes and healthy juices. Portion sizes are of course way smaller now (way smaller) and it doesn’t take a lot to feel full at all. Protein is everything and deliveroo has a ton of healthy options waiting to be discovered. 🌺This has been one incredible rewarding and surprisingly straightforward journey. I am happier, healthier, fitter & more confident, my random aches and pains and pins and needles from being overweight have subsided, snoring and sleep apnea is no more, & honestly I am beyond grateful to Mr Ahmed and his fantastic team for giving me this new lease of life 🌺

  A very skilled surgeon. Based on the experience of my friends and family who had the same operation I had expected a long recovery period, but I felt well enough to go home a few hours after surgery and had no pain or side effects.

  I am 14 days post large hiatal hernia surgery performed by mr Ahmed and his team ,and I’m happy to say I am recovering well and very happy with my surgery ..   I was very nervous and fearful of having bariatric surgery, although my health dictated I needed it. From the moment I saw Mr Ahmed in clinic I felt at ease. He fully explained the whole procedure to me, and was happy to answer any questions I had. I went away and thought about the consultation, and decided to have the operation. I had researched Mr Ahmed before the operation. My surgery went ahead without any problems. The level of expertise Mr Ahmed has is truly very high. After my surgery Mr Ahmed came to speak to me. Again very willing to take time to listen to me, and again he was willing to answer any questions I had. Nothing was rushed the whole way through. He was very approachable and put me at my ease all the way from consultation, and up until today. I am now nine days post op. I have had absolutely no problems at all. I cannot believe for major surgery this has all gone so smoothly. If I didn’t have staples in my stomach I would be wondering if I had actually had surgery.But of course I can only eat small amounts of food now. I have already achieved remission from diabetes, and cut down my blood pressure medication drastically. With weight loss I will no longer need tablets to control it. Today I had my first post op consultation with Mr Ahmed. Due to the current situation it was a zoom consultation. That said it did not stop Mr Ahmed from being very through. He had me take off the dressings , and checked my wounds. They have healed very nicely, no infection. Staples out tomorrow. Throughout this whole process from pre op to post op there has always the opportunity to speak to Mr Ahmed, Or Dr Cousins with any questions or worries. Dr Cousins has also been amazing! At every stage of this process I have received the highest level of care, and professionalism. I’ve always felt very well supported . The only regret I have is not having this operation sooner. I cannot recommend Mr Ahmed highly enough. If you are in any doubt about having surgery with Mr Ahmed please trust you are in very good , and very Safe hands. I 100% guarantee you will feel you have had the the best care throughout from a highly skilled and leading surgeon in his field.

  I first met Dr Ahmed almost a year ago due to a complication I had with surgery prior to meeting him. Dr Ahmed walked me through all the potential options and recommended what I should do before any surgical procedure should be done. I found him to be very honest, trustworthy and understanding. He explained everything very efficiently and professionally and his after care service is second to none, with constant updates emailed to you by his team.
