I phoned ahead to say that my Mum had recently passed away, I had just cleared her room in the care home and that I had 3 small bags of clothes to donate. I spoke with an elderly gentleman and asked if I needed to remove the name labels before I brought them in, (which I hadn't had time to do due to being so busy trying to arrange her funeral) or could they do it. He said I would have to remove them (which is fair enough) but then he went on to say very abruptly that they would only accept 2 bags and I would just have to take the other bag elsewhere. At no stage did he offer condolences or say thanks for thinking of them - Instead he was really offhand. I have given this shop many donations in the past from clearing out my Mother-in-Law's property, and they have made over £1000 plus GA from the proceeds. Whilst I will continue to donate to them, as I like the work they do, I think a certain member of staff needs training in PR!

A charity shop, not like a charity shop.... more boutique than jumble sale.... The staff are great, the shop lay out and stock is of great quality and in fantastic condition. If charity shops are ‘Your thing’ this particular Age UK is is well worth a visit... Keep up the great work.
