Habufa – Jardin Starburst Oak Dining Table plus 6 Armin Dining Chairs, Cognac I don’t normally write reviews however, in this instance, both the Manufacturer and the Retailer are more than worthy of mention. We had previously identified the Habufa range of furniture as being well suited for our needs. The challenge was to find a Retailer selling it at an acceptable price. After doing a lot of research, including viewing examples of the Habufa range in the showrooms of a well-known High Street Store, we came across the Against the Grain (ATG) Website which was selling the Habufa range at an acceptable price. Here, our natural instincts to avoid buying from on-line retailers kicked in. So, what to do? Firstly, we read all their reviews on Google and Trust Pilot which, on the whole, were positive. Secondly, we spoke at length with Marcus at ATG and found his knowledge and advice very helpful which gave us the confidence to go ahead with the order. The lead times were good, pricing was very competitive and we were kept informed throughout the process, leading up to delivery. The furniture came very securely packed and the quality is excellent. Clear instructions were provided for the assembly of the chairs and the table and for increasing the protection of the oak table with additional lacquer. Our thanks to both Marcus and Dan, the Office Manager, for their attention to detail and support. We would certainly buy again from you.

Great company and great service. From the moment I contacted ATG, the customer service has been exceptional. The phone was answered promtly and my emails the same. Marcus was helpful in advising on what table would be suitable for our requirements. We knew the chairs we wanted to purchase, as we had seen them somewhere else, but ATG are extremely competitive on pricing. There was a short delivery time and we were kept informed of the progress by Dan who was very polite and again promtly responded to phones and emails. The furniture was very securely packaged and is of very good quality. Once deliverd, I emailed about aftercare of the furniture and again Marcus responded straightaway. Thank you Marcus and Dan and we will surely purchase from you again.

After reading the reviews I firstly would like to say that this company is not a scam and they genuinely have some beautiful pieces of furniture. We enquired about some furniture in May 2021 but wanted to actually feel and see the furniture before we committed to buying anything. Marcus kindly booked us an appointment at the Showroom in Nottinghamshire as he understood how we felt. We had a drive to the showroom and met with Adam who was very helpful and showed us the options that were available to us! We sent across the measurements of our room and a layout of what we had a we were sent some drawings of possible options for the furniture we had chosen which we were over the moon with. We ordered a bespoke Moreland Harris Tweed and Brown Leather Chester Club no corner modular Design 15, 3 seat Right, 3 Seat left and 2 Kensington Chairs and a patchwork beanbag. We also opted to have these reinforced. The delivery was estimated at 12-14 weeks. The delivery did run over slightly due to problems everyone was dealing with due to Covid but when they were delivered (Sept) the team that delivered everything were very friendly and kept us up to date with timings. They came right on time when they said they would. Marcus and the team were fantastic through the process of the design and ordering. I fell in love with our furniture the minute it came into our home.

Highly Recommended! I ordered 15 Stanford Harris Tweed and Leather Accent Chairs for a private bar area. They are excellent quality, look fantastic and are very comfortable. After seeing the Habufa Eefje chairs and matching bar stools in a well known furniture store, I found them online at Against the Grain Furniture. Initially I was a little wary as the price was over 30% cheaper but after checking the reviews, I decided to order them. I was told it would be an estimated 3-4 weeks for delivery but was pleasantly surprised when they were able to deliver them just 5 days later. I work nights but the delivery team were accommodating and kept me well informed of the expected time for delivery. The chairs themselves were well packaged, in good order and of good quality as expected. Overall the service I received was much more personal and positive than that of larger retailers and I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again.

I purchased several Habufa Eefje bar stools and chairs from Against the Grain Furniture. The company has been a pleasure to deal with providing excellent service and communication throughout. Everyone that I dealt with, Marcus, Andy, and the delivery team Molly and Tom were extremely helpful and wonderful to deal with. The lead time on the products was excellent and despite me change the colour of my chairs and stools they responded, made the change, and still got the products to me in good time. The Habufa products are also fantastic and very well made. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for great furniture and a wonderful service.
