Very average afternoon tea. The building is very beautiful and staff very friendly and helpful. The food was very average and expensive for what you get (£38 a head) The sandwiches were ok and you can have more at no extra cost. The scones were very rubbery and not nice at all! The cakes I would strongly guess are not homemade and mass produced. We usually go to Hanbury Manor which is much better! I'd rather pay the extra £12 a head to go there.

On 16/01/22 I celebrated my 40th birthday . Booked afternoon tea for 2 people in morning . And as soon u arrived at Fanhams hall for afternoon tea we were greated by lovely gentleman waiter he was so pleasant and attentive caring and allways smilling u made my day .Chef did a fantastic job afternoon for my diet requirements done with hesitation . Extra slice cake with happy birthday on it . Amazing to u all beautiful relax and calming atmosphere. Made my 40ty special thank you all I shall return

Extortionate prices for average afternoon tea. The cakes were disgusting and not fresh in the slightest. If they were homemade you would understand the cost a bit better. Basically we paid £160 for 4 adults to have 1 sandwich without the crust, two miniature scones, 4 horrible (tiny teeny weeny) cakes, unlimited tea (how much tea can you drink?) and a glass of Prosecco. Robbed. Don’t get it... this whole tea and sandwiches in a fancy pants house phenomenon... On a positive note, the staff were very friendly.. the amount fanhams are making with (ripping people off); weddings, the hotel, afternoon tea and Sunday lunch - you’d think they would pay their staff a bit more than minimum wage.
