Love this campsite. It's really improved the last year. Staff are much friendlier. Facilities may be dated but are clean. Swimming pool is great.pitch sizes are very good, especially the furthest pitches from the entrance. Great play area and good for dog walking.

This is no where near the standards for a club site. The toilet facilities were poorly kept they need to be condemned. The cobwebs had cobwebs on them. The sinks were not cleaned for several days, as evidenced by toothpaste left upon one, and the dead flys on the window sills. This poor state of maintenance was not limited to the toilets. The pitch markets were poorly maintained when they were in place. The life boy holders around the lake needed replacing, several of the electrical connection boxes were also broken. The WiFi was patchy and frequently dropped out. The electric was only 10amp so kept tripping. Many of the hedges were being overgrown with brambles. The site staff were visible by their absence and lack of activity. This is by far the worst site I have ever stayed at. Playground: There are 2 swings and one slide. Restrooms: They were tired 10 years ago now they should be condemned. Dog-friendliness: There are dog walks by the river.

Great site, helpful staff. Sanitary blocks need updating but are perfectly useable. Great spacious site with cycle routes near by or a 39 minute stroll into Sandown. Very fair price too

This is an AMAZING SITE. It is old but charming. The Wardens are friendly and helpful. The walk along the river is beautiful and the lake has been kept wildlife friendly. The pool is clean and peaceful (during term time) There is a lovely area for the dogs and plenty of space. Most of the pitches are fairly level but you will need chocks. We didn't take children but there seems to be some great areas for them too. The Red Squirrel Trail is right outside and is a very well maintained cycle route if you want to go further afield.
