I stayed in this hotel in the winter and the room was freezing. I reported it to the reception and the old Lady there was very rude! Never gonna stay in this old hotel again! Don't recommend it!

Came for bank holiday weekend with my husband. Checked into one room, the bath was all chipped and had seen much better days, there was hair all over the walls on the shower and the toilet was dirty too. The window had damp causing the paper to come away, the room smelled of cigarettes - you could see out the window that there was cigarette nubs and empty glass bottles. The lady on the desk couldn't apologise enough, she changed our room straight away, sadly the next room was no better. Eyelashes on the (what should of been clean) bed, bath again was very dirty and the bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned. Again, the lady on the desk was great, she couldn't apologise more and upgraded room and gave us a complimentary breakfast. The third room, although it was a better room, had a shower curtain to cover the window, it didn't cover the whole window either. Breakfast in the morning was very nice, probably one of the nicest breakfasts I've had at a hotel buffet. Everything was hot enough. I think overall, the hotel as much as it is fairly cheap in price, it shouldn't mean it lacks in the care in which it gives its visitors or to the actual building. It seems like it used to be a lovely building and now the tlc has gone. Shame!
