FAQ
What is the history and philosophy behind your Quaker church?
Our Quaker church has a long history dating back to the mid-17th century. Our philosophy is based on the belief that there is something of God in every person and that we can connect with this inner light through silent worship and community. We believe in simplicity, equality, and social justice. How does your church support and serve the local community?
We are committed to serving our local community and do so in a number of ways. We run a weekly food bank that provides essential items to those in need, and we also offer support and advice to those who are struggling with various issues. In addition, we organize events and activities that bring the community together and promote a sense of unity and belonging. What types of worship and ceremonies do you offer?
We offer silent worship, which involves sitting in silence and waiting for the inner light to speak to us. We also have spoken worship, which involves members of the community sharing their thoughts and feelings. In terms of ceremonies, we offer weddings, funerals, and other rituals that are important to members of our community. How does your church approach social justice issues?
We believe that social justice is an important part of our faith, and we work to promote equality and fairness in our community and beyond. We are involved in a number of social justice initiatives, including campaigns for environmental sustainability, human rights, and economic justice. What opportunities are available for members to get involved in church activities and leadership roles?
We encourage all members of our community to get involved in our church activities and take on leadership roles. There are many ways to get involved, including volunteering at our food bank, organizing events, and participating in committees. We also offer training and support for those who are interested in taking on leadership roles within our church.Reviews

This is a peaceful place to be buried if you qualify for their standard issue grave with rounded headstone. Old Friends attend. You may choose to have your ashes dug into a rather unkempt, round rose bed, but a plaque can be problematic. Adel Meeting does a lot of worthy outreach work with disadvantaged young people, who may be damaged beyond repair. Adel Friends will forgive and keep trying though.
