I purchased a Vauxhall VXR from Adam’s on 11th March 2023. On viewing and day of collection, I noticed a few minor cosmetic errors that I shared with the dealer and they knocked down the price accordingly. The customer service form Brooke and Heather cannot be faulted. They were accommodating, friendly and prompt in replies. However, the aftersales treatment is shocking. Only a couple of days after I had purchased the car, I noticed it was sounding funny and rocking like a boat, so I took it to my local Kwikfit garage who informed me the whole suspension needed replacing and I had a misfit in cylinder 4. The cost was £2,600 and I only had the vehicle a week or less. I informed Adam’s who told me to contact warranty first, who only covered the cost of £119.40 as the suspension issues were categorised as ‘inheritance faults’. I argued with Adam’s about this stating I should have been informed and the vehicle should have been checked prior to handover to fix these issues as I was only aware and accepted the cosmetic issues and I ended up driving a severely unsafe car 70 plus miles home. I was ignored via email and mislead on the phone a ridiculous amount of times. In the end, I accepted the £300 goodwill gesture as I couldn’t handle the stress and anxiety any longer, along with sorting other personal things out. Fast forward to 20th May, I only just received my V5…I requested for them to apply my personal registration, which they were aware of and sent me proof of the V750 arriving, to find it wasn’t attached. I specifically paid for this service to be done for me. All in all, the people who work there are lovely but the aftersales is appalling. Please, if you are to purchase from here, be cautious and inspect the vehicles with a fine tooth comb!

This garage is absolutely shocking service picked up the car and have had nothing but problems with the it scratches all over the car that was not mentioned in the description but the owner said we’re not allowed to put that in the description lies have had the car 3 weeks which 2 of them weeks the car was in Volkswagen been fixed for a gear box fault and have now had a list of problems from a check from Volkswagen spoke to the company about it and they wasn’t very helpful and didn’t sound bothered about it either stay well clear of this garage there absolutely horrendous now have trading standards involved aswell as Vosa STAY AWAY FROM ADAM AUTOMOTIVE!!!

Make sure the price is correct before taking time off work! I booked a day off work to go and see a toyota hilux on a 72 plate, the vehicle went up £4000 from viewing advert to travelling down! Waste of time and a days money.... will stick to a proper dealer next time!
