  My advisor at Acuity Professional Ltd. was Alan Wood. I found Alan to be extremely professional and efficient whilst dealing with my enquiry of a possible DB pension transfer. We held many MS Teams meetings for Alan to explain the whole process, and to gather the required information for Alan to produce the financial report for me to make my decision of transferring out or remaining in my existing pension scheme. Alan was very impartial with his advice and he explained the risks of transfer in great detail. I genuinely felt that he had my best interests at heart. So much so that I have made the decision to remain in my existing pension scheme for the time being but will be returning to Acuity in 2 years time when some of the deciding factors have changed and the timing is right. I would highly recommend Acuity Professional Ltd.

  Just to give you background information, when I retired my company offered little or no assistance when it came to pension options, apparently they were not allowed to advise people. Therefore, I left with the option of staying in the company DB Pension scheme or transferring out. Once I had my CETV, I was like many people looking at the high figure quoted. In my mind I thought transferring out would be my best option. I was put in touch with Chris Larby, and a Teams meeting was arranged. He explained what he did and what he required so that he could look at our future financial goals. There were a number of things I had to do, watch some information videos, sign some paperwork etc. A few weeks later Chris was in touch again, he had contacted my DB Pension scheme and managed to get some answers to things that weren’t apparent in their initial paperwork. Using the information, he had asked for, Chris was able to do some financial modelling and explained that I could in fact meet all my future goals without transferring, I would then not have the worry or concern that my investments were doing alright, and there would be no fees to be paid for managing the investment fund. Chris's Teams conference calls were always on time and I found the information he shared with me very informative and enlightening. Nothing was too much trouble for Chris, and he was always available to answer any questions I may have had. I did feel Chris was looking after my best interests, there was no hard sell or any pressure to buy a product or transfer, which felt good when dealing with the figures involved. My advice to other people using Acuity Professional, give them as much information as you can about your financial circumstances, and your retirement goals, this enables them to predict where you may not be able to meet your aim. Would I recommend Chris Larby and Acuity Professional to friends and family? Yes 100% I received the best insight into DB Pensions and transfers, even after doing my own research. I would personally like to thank Chris and his team for all their hard work, it has been much appreciated.

  Hi. I was advised and assisted by Alan Wood in transferring my work pension over to a Defined Benefit Pension. Over many meetings on zoom and by telephone, I believe I was given the best advice, and guidance to any questions I may have had at the time.   My wife and I were both fortunate to be introduced to Chris Larby of Accuity Professional when we were seeking help to evaluate and ultimately advise on options regarding our respective Final Salary pension benefits. Chris was extremely professional and punctilious throughout. Having listened carefully to our objectives and analysed the dataset he provided a detailed explanation of our various options with consumate ease and incisiveness. The final advice was explained clearly in writing and was patiently reinforced via follow on audio visual sessions.
