I used Acorn Flooring to sand my hall and was very disappointed with the result. Firstly, they cut corners by failing to go any closer than about 9 inches from the sides, so these areas are very rough. However, my main complaint is that after approximately 3 weeks it looked like the varnish had completely disappeared and consequently looked unfinished. I contacted them multiple times concerning this issue and was just fobbed off, even though on one call I was told it wouldn't be a problem to resolve and would only take about 15 minutes (I never received a follow-up from this call).

If you are looking for a first class service for floor sanding then you have just found it ! Gary was straightforward , knowledgeable and did a first class job . He gave a accurate quote over the phone , turned up when he said he would and with graham as extra help to . My floor was very tired and needed reviving …. Gary at Acorn did an amazing job and the floor looks stunning ! Thank you Gary , it is so cool to meet people who are the best at what they do .

Telephoned acorn floor sanding and a quote was issued within one hour which I was happy with quote and date set. Gary arrived on time and give me the good news he had brought extra labour and he would complete the restoration quicker than he said on quote, this pleased me has I could get back to normal quicker. My floor was covered in bitumen broken floor boards and gaps to fill Gary and Graham worked hard very polite and it was a pleasure to have them in my house. The floor looked fantastic when finished excellent service and no mess, work was to a high standard. I would highly recommend acorn floor sanding

Turned up when they said they would to give an estimate but declined to quote saying we would need a carpenter to repair some boards and fill the gaps. I was sorry to have wasted their time; I had selected them as their website said they could restore and repair floors prior to sanding but apparently ours was just too bad.

Terrible customer service experience from what initially appeared as a professional outfit. Having arranged for an appointment to conduct a quote a week in advance and confirmed the appointment the day before, I was dismayed to receive a phone call 20mins after the arranged time telling us they were going to have to "come later". When it was explained that we had other plans and that that wasn't going to be possible, the childish response was a disgruntled "fine, I'm not coming then" and hung up. This is not the behaviour I would expect from a professional company and such a truculent attitude is potentially indicative of the type of service I would be likely to receive. No apology for missing the appointment, and the further insult of hanging up on my partner when told that we, the customer, couldn't change our plans to facilitate their own poor scheduling. Whilst I cannot comment on the quality of their work, their approach and service leaves much to be desired. Given that they had told us they could fit the work in at a week's notice, I'm surprised they so readily dismissed 100sqm of sanding. I have taken my business elsewhere.
