FAQ

What type of dental implants do you offer and what are the differences between them?

At Acorn Dental Care, we offer various types of dental implants including endosteal implants, subperiosteal implants, and zygomatic implants. Endosteal implants are the most common type that involves screw-like posts being inserted into the jawbone. Subperiosteal implants are placed on top of the jawbone and under the gum line and are best for patients who have a shallow jawbone. Zygomatic implants are longer than other types and are attached to the cheekbone instead of the jawbone. We can help you choose the best option for your individual needs and preferences.

How long does the dental implant process typically take from start to finish?

The dental implant process can take anywhere from a few months to over a year depending on various factors including the type of implant, the condition of the patient's jawbone, and the healing process. Typically, the process involves a consultation, implant placement, healing time, and then attaching the crown or denture. Our experienced team can provide you with a more accurate timeline based on your specific situation.

Do you accept insurance? If so, which providers?

Yes, we do accept insurance. We work with various providers including Bupa, Cigna, AXA PPP, and Simplyhealth. We also offer financing options for those without insurance or with limited coverage. Our team can help you navigate the insurance process and maximize your benefits.

How do you handle emergency dental situations?

At Acorn Dental Care, we understand that dental emergencies can happen at any time. We offer same-day emergency appointments to address urgent dental issues such as severe pain, broken teeth, and infections. Our team is dedicated to providing prompt and effective care to alleviate discomfort and prevent further damage.

What is the success rate of your dental implant procedures?

Our dental implant procedures have a high success rate of over 95%. However, the success rate can vary depending on various factors including the patient's oral health, habits, and adherence to aftercare instructions. Our team takes a personalized approach to ensure the best possible outcome for each patient. We also provide follow-up care to monitor the progress of the implant and address any issues that may arise.

Been calling since 8am. Basic practice of time management would go very long way. If you do not open at 8 am change your Google opening times. Pathetic.

Dr Ramjit Gajadhar is the best dentist ever! I've been going to him for 6 years now after being dissatisfied with multiple dentists beforehand. Handles teeth with care, always very gentle. On my most recent visit I needed to have a crown. The colour match is perfect, you can't even see it, looks like my natural tooth. He also had it made so that the tooth is now straight. All my top and bottom teeth fit together properly now, and my bite is correct. Highly recommended.

Absolutely disgusted with the front veneers fitted at a cost of £1650, Sehra would not respond to any of my emails. He also sheared off the enamel from one of my own teeth whilst do so. DO NOT ever go to this dentist is my suggestion! Only interested in taking your money and not your teeth or your mental health.

Unprofessional. Called up for emergency appointment, they took details and told me they would call me back same day or the day after and if I don't hear back to call the next day. I didn't hear back so I called up the next day only to be told they are not taking on any new NHS patients and to go with their private option in Maidenhead.
