The club with the most famous name in bridge! Where the Acol system was originally invented (albeit the club was in a different building round the corner in those days). Very friendly and welcoming, they’ll take care of you whatever level you’re at. We wondered if people would come back after switching to online play during the pandemic, but it’s getting busy again these days and there’s enough buzz to keep the energy up. Once in a while there might be a special event with a famous player, or the odd local Hampstead “celeb” (perhaps more famous for her poker playing) may show up and play. You’ll quickly get to know the staff and some of the other players, and you’ll be able to find the right tournament for your level.
