Hired by Brent Council to refurbish a flat above my property. However, they are rude. They come outside of normal working hours, like on Friday night 8:45pm to work and I was laughed at and ignored when I asked them to leave because I am a woman and I knew they shouldn't be there. They returned the very next day, Saturday morning before 8am and began ripping the place apart until I had to leave because I felt vulnerable, of the noise, paint fumes and when I returned thinking they were gone they were still here blaring radio and banging etc. 2:45pm. I left, called noise abatement and when I returned at 8:10pm they were still there with the same level of noise. Paint on the floor which I didn't notice until I'd walk paint into my flat. My flat stunk of paint. It was bad enough enduring this all week but having to contend with this on a Saturday practically all day was frustrating and very upsetting. I just burst into tears and called noise abatement again. 8:20pm they were asked to leave by the next door neighbors and my male relatives. The three men response was to threaten and refuse to leave, claiming they had a right to be there working. It was only when they were told they were breaking the rules, the police have been called as well as noise abatement did they agree to leave. They left at 8:50pm. I found the entire experience offensive, frightening, unsettling and unsafe. I am dreading their return. Awful company.
